Twins Overview
I landed in Tbilisi on a humid August afternoon, the kind of heat that makes the city feel like a warm, living quilt. I was hoping to find a quiet spot to unwind after the flight, and the Twins on Archil Jorjadze street turned out to be a surprisingly cozy refuge. The address—N5, a nondescript private house—felt almost like a secret hideaway. I walked down the street, passing a little café where the espresso was so strong it felt like a hug, and the smell of fresh bread lingered from a nearby bakery. There’s a subtle hum of traffic, but it fades as you step closer to the hotel’s front door.
The check‑in was surprisingly smooth. The front desk guy, Giorgi, greeted me with a friendly grin and handed me a key card that looked like it belonged in a sci‑fi movie. He mentioned that the twins are usually booked solid in July, so I was relieved that I had a room waiting. The lobby itself is charmingly rustic, with exposed wooden beams and a small mural of the Mtkvarme church that locals love to point out. The room was a solid 4‑star experience: a king bed with a mattress that was just the right firmness, a surprisingly large bathroom with a rain shower that made me wish I could stay in there forever, and a view that framed the city’s skyline in a soft blush. I was a bit disappointed that the Wi‑Fi was a tad slow, but it’s still usable for light browsing. Noise-wise, the street below is lively but not overwhelming—just the right amount of city buzz. The real surprise was the small balcony that, on clear days, offered a 360° view of Mtatsminda and the church spires. I spent a whole afternoon sipping tea there and watching the sun set behind the rooftops, the city’s lights turning on like a glittering blanket.
What really made the Twins special was the sense that you’re right in the middle of Tbilisi’s everyday life. From the hotel’s steps, I could walk to the Metekhi Church in just a few minutes—perfect for a morning pilgrimage or a quick photo op. A few blocks away, there’s a tiny park called Mtatsminda Park; the playground’s squeaky sounds are a nostalgic reminder of my childhood. The hotel’s staff also gave me a handwritten list of hidden gems, like a little gelato shop on Sioni street that’s been a local favorite since the 80s. Parking is a non‑issue because the area is pedestrian‑friendly; I found a small, free spot behind a bakery that was great for a quick snack on the go. The only real critique I have is that the room’s décor feels slightly dated—think 90s chic—but it’s charming in its own way and it’s not a dealbreaker for me. In terms of timing, the twins are peak during the winter holidays when the city is festively lit and the energy is electric, but that’s also when you’ll experience the most crowds. If you’re looking for a quieter stay, heading in late spring or early summer is the way to go. All in all, the Twins let you feel like a local, not just a tourist, and that’s a rare find in a city that constantly buzzes with history and modernity.

Perfect
Comfortable, clean, atmospheric location in the heart of Tbilisi – Алексей from Russia – August 16, 2024 (10/10)
A quiet and peaceful place, opposite the house there is a beautiful park. There is no flow of tourists, you need to walk to the sights, but no more than 20-30 minutes. Most of attractions are no more than a kilometer away, the embankment and big shopping centre are also nearby. Great view from the terrace. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of an old building, in the courtyard we were able to park a car for free. There was bottled water in the room, for which special thanks. And all things for living was there. In terms of price and quality, I think it is one of the best offers. We recommend. Among the features: the check-in is contact, through a polite relative of the hostess, we were met and escorted. The apartment is on the third floor with a small staircase leading to it.

Wonderful – Valerio from Czech Republic – September 14, 2022 (9/10)
Good location very close to centre, clean and nicely furnished…
What could be improved: The table is only at the balcony, which is not very secured, and as we have a small child, we were not able to use it and therefore had to have breakfast in a picnic style on the floor of the apartment… This might also be a challenge during winter…
What could be improved: Пишу не про не понравилось! В качестве совета гостям в возрасте или с маленькими детьми, ступени в апартаменты крутые имейте ввиду. Для нас это было даже каким то шармом, так как интерьер на лестнице просто восхитительный! Просто читала какие-то отзывы и там кому-то лифта не хватило 😆Уютный, чистый, удобный номер. – Евгений from Belarus – August 22, 2025 (10/10)
Отличное месторасположение. Пешком до центра не далеко. Было чисто. Отдельного внимания заслуживает балкон и вид,который с него открывается.
