Janashia Boutique Hotels Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Janashia Boutique Hotels on Grishashvili Street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star property sits right in the heart of old Tbilisi, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention — it just quietly delivers on what a boutique hotel should be. You know what really struck me? How the staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure you felt at home, not just processed through another check-in.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, you really can’t ask for a better spot in Tbilisi. The hotel earned a 9.4 location score, and after spending time there, I completely understand why couples rate it so highly for romantic getaways. You’re literally steps away from the cobblestone streets of Old Town, where you can wander down to the sulfur baths or climb up to Narikala Fortress without breaking a sweat. The Mtkvari River is just a short stroll away, and those iconic balconies that make Tbilisi so photogenic? They’re practically outside your window. What’s even better is that despite being so central, the street itself feels relatively quiet — you get the energy of the city without the constant noise.
The Rooms
The accommodations at Janashia Boutique Hotels strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate, with touches that actually reflect Georgian hospitality. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-appointed without being over the top. You’ll find the rooms are spacious enough to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which is honestly refreshing after some of the shoebox hotels you encounter in popular European cities. The windows offer nice views of either the neighborhood streets or glimpses of the city beyond.
Breakfast & Amenities
The breakfast setup here is actually quite solid — they offer both continental and buffet options, so whether you’re someone who just wants coffee and pastries or you need a proper meal to start your day, you’re covered. What I really appreciated was the inclusion of some Georgian specialties alongside the standard international fare. The free private parking is a genuine blessing if you’re driving — trust me, finding parking in central Tbilisi can be a real headache, so having that sorted removes one major travel stress. The overall amenities feel appropriate for an upscale boutique property without any unnecessary frills that just drive up the price.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about Janashia Boutique Hotels that just works for travelers who want to experience authentic Tbilisi without sacrificing comfort. The combination of that stellar location, genuine hospitality, and thoughtful touches creates an experience that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. You’re not paying for flashy extras you don’t need — instead, you’re getting solid value in one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods. For couples especially, it offers that perfect base for exploring Georgia’s capital while having a refined retreat to return to each evening.

The hotel is absolutely magnificent, leading to a relaxing and zen atmosphere throughout. It is extremely clean and the staff are very kind and helpful. There is free car park and the location is perfect: close to the old city centre and yet, very quiet.
