Honestly, when I first heard the name Modern Apartments, I was expecting one of those sterile, cookie-cutter places you see everywhere these days. You know what I mean – all white walls and zero personality. But I was actually pleasantly surprised when I walked through the doors. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about this place that just works.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting the details right. I mean, it’s not fancy in that intimidating way some four-star places can be, but everything feels thoughtfully put together. The apartments themselves are genuinely modern without being cold – think clean lines but with touches that make it feel like someone’s well-designed home rather than a hotel room. The kitchenettes are small but smartly laid out (I actually managed to make a decent breakfast without wrestling with weird European appliances for once), and the bathrooms have this nice rainfall shower situation that doesn’t leave you freezing while you wait for the water to heat up.

What really won me over, though, was the consistency of it all. You can tell they’ve figured out their system and stick to it – check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually works throughout the building, and housekeeping hits that sweet spot of being thorough without moving all your stuff around. I stayed for almost a week, and honestly, by day three it felt like I had my own little temporary home base. The soundproofing is pretty solid too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. I did notice the neighborhood gets a bit lively on weekend nights, but nothing that decent windows can’t handle. The 9.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s one of those places that doesn’t promise you the moon but delivers really well on what it does offer. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like living somewhere than just passing through, this is definitely worth considering.

  Beautiful fresh stylish apartment, hosts are very friendly and helpful: I was met in the airport, they helped me to get an extra table for work, I had 2 cleanings included in the rent. Placed in an amazing Vake area.
