Margot Old Tbilisi Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Margot Old Tbilisi on Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue, you immediately get that feeling you’re in the right spot. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Old Town, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — couples especially seem to love it here, which makes total sense once you see the neighborhood. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, you know what I mean? It’s polished without being flashy, which actually fits perfectly with the historic area around it.

The Perfect Old Town Spot

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Tbilisi — you’re literally surrounded by everything that makes the city special. I mean, you can walk to the sulfur baths in Abanotubani in about five minutes, and the cable car up to Narikala Fortress is practically around the corner. What I really appreciate is that while you’re in the thick of things, Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue isn’t one of those crazy busy tourist streets where you can’t sleep at night. It strikes that perfect balance between being central and actually livable.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed — not huge, but everything felt intentional and well-placed. The windows actually open (which you’d be surprised how rare that is these days), and if you get one facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the old city’s rooftops and church domes. The bathroom was modern and spotless, with good water pressure — something that can be hit or miss in this part of town. What really stood out was the attention to small details, like proper bedside lighting and enough outlets where you actually need them.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast here is a solid continental and buffet setup that actually gets Georgian flavors right alongside the standard international options. You’ll find fresh khachapuri (because honestly, what’s a Georgian breakfast without it?), local cheeses, and really good coffee. The dining area has these big windows that let in great morning light, and the staff seems to genuinely care about making sure you’re set for the day. I’ve stayed at places where breakfast feels like an afterthought, but this isn’t one of them.

Why Guests Love It

The free private parking is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving — finding a safe spot for your car in Old Tbilisi can be a real headache otherwise. But beyond the practical stuff, there’s something about this place that just works. Maybe it’s how the staff knows the neighborhood inside and out and can point you toward that little wine bar tucked away on a side street, or how the whole operation feels like it’s run by people who actually understand what travelers want. You’re not just staying near the best parts of Tbilisi — you’re staying somewhere that enhances the whole experience of being here.

Location is great, very nice and modern hotel with polite staff. I chose the option with breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. There are no large variety of dishes, but you can find everything on your taste. For me to have a breakfast on the terrace with amazing view is the perfect start of the day!

  • Rohannn from Armenia (9/10)

I had a wonderful time staying at your hotel. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing and offers a mesmerizing view of the river. The staff was professional and provided excellent assistance. The room was beautiful, and cosy, and had a pleasant aroma that uplifted our spirits. The hotel is beautifully decorated with old and modern things like an old typewriter, old-era bulbs, modern doors etc. It looks like some royal palace.

We will book this hotel again next time we are in Tbilisi.
