I mean, you step outside and there’s this incredible mix of crumbling Soviet architecture next to these gorgeous 19th-century buildings with those famous carved wooden balconies hanging overhead. The sulfur baths are close enough that you can actually smell that distinctive mineral scent drifting through the streets on humid evenings – which sounds weird but it’s actually kind of charming once you get used to it. And the location means you’re walking distance from Rustaveli Avenue for your fancy dinners, but also tucked away enough that you can duck into those tiny wine bars tucked into basements that only locals seem to know about.

What really impressed me about this place was how they managed to nail that sweet spot between authentic Georgian hospitality and modern comfort. The staff – well, they actually remember your name after day one, and I’m talking genuine warmth here, not that rehearsed hotel smile thing. The rooms themselves feel like someone’s stylish Georgian grandmother decorated them, if that makes sense. Traditional textiles and local artwork, but with reliable wifi and a shower that actually has decent water pressure (trust me, this matters in Tbilisi). I stayed during shoulder season in October, and honestly the whole experience felt more like staying with friends than checking into a hotel. The 10-star rating they’ve got? Yeah, I can see it – it’s one of those places where every small detail just works. The only tiny critique I’d have is that if you’re a super light sleeper, the old town can get a bit lively on weekend nights, but honestly that’s part of the charm. You’re in the heart of one of the world’s most fascinating cities, so embrace the energy.

  We really enjoyed Tbilisi and the apartment very much. The apartment was wonderfully bright and very clean. The location is perfect. Close to public transportation. We had a lot of tips from the host. And very nice that we were allowed to borrow a baby coat for our toddler.

  Very nice, almost new apartment in the middle of a very nice neighborhood in the city center. Everything within walking distance and easily accessible, supermarket, organic shop, restaurants,…
  Host very friendly, always available, and given great tips…
  Amenities are also great: nice bathroom, new kitchen with dishwasher, induction stove, kettle, and even salt, pepper, oil etc.
  We would love to come back!
