Pirosmani Boutique Aparthotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Pirosmani Boutique Aparthotel on Giorgi Chitaia Street, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical four-star hotel. The building has this understated elegance that feels distinctly Georgian — not trying too hard to impress, but clearly thoughtful in every detail. I mean, the name itself pays homage to Niko Pirosmani, Georgia’s beloved naive painter, which gives you a hint about the cultural touches you’ll find inside. The entrance feels more like stepping into a well-designed apartment building than a hotel lobby, which honestly works perfectly for what this place is trying to achieve.
The Chugureti Advantage
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re in Chugureti, which puts you right in the sweet spot between old Tbilisi’s charm and the city’s modern energy. It’s actually a neighborhood where locals live and work, not just a tourist bubble. You can walk to the sulfur baths in about fifteen minutes, but you’re also close enough to the newer parts of town when you want proper restaurants or shopping. The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about being tucked away on this quieter street while still having the whole city at your fingertips.
Living Like a Local
The aparthotel concept really shines here because each unit feels like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated apartment rather than a standard hotel room. You get a proper kitchenette, which is brilliant when you want to grab fresh khachapuri from a local bakery and have coffee at your own pace. The design strikes this nice balance between contemporary comfort and subtle Georgian touches — nothing too obvious or kitschy, just enough to remind you where you are. Storage space is actually generous, and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile.
The Neighborhood Experience
What guests don’t always expect is how much the surrounding area adds to the experience. You’re close enough to hear the city’s rhythm but far enough from the main tourist drags to get decent sleep. There’s a small grocery store around the corner, and honestly, some of my favorite meals in Tbilisi have come from just wandering this neighborhood and following my nose. The metro isn’t far when you need it, but you’ll probably find yourself walking more than you planned — the streets here are actually pleasant for strolling, which isn’t something you can say about every part of the city.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.6 rating isn’t just about the apartment-style accommodations or the location, though both are excellent. It’s about how the whole experience feels authentic without sacrificing comfort. You’re not staying in a place that could be anywhere in the world — this feels specifically Georgian, specifically Tbilisi, but in a way that enhances rather than overwhelms your stay. The staff seems to understand that travelers want local insights, not just clean towels, and the aparthotel setup means you can actually live a bit like a resident rather than just passing through. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having your own little Georgian pied-à-terre in one of the city’s most liveable neighborhoods.
To book a hotel in Tbilisi during major Georgian celebrations, travelers need early planning as this ancient Silk Road capital draws visitors eager to experience its sulfur baths and traditional hospitality.

The apart hotel is beautiful, Chugureti is a great hood to discover Tbilisi. The check in and check out are self managed and we did not meet anyone from the staff, but all went smoothly and we have already decided to come back here next time we'll be back.

The cleanness was great.
Wonderful – Полина from Russia – July 11, 2025 (9/10)
I really liked the design of the room. Everything is also new and clean.
What could be improved: The air conditioner was right opposite the bed so it was cold to sleep with it on (I tried different modes) and hot with it off.Great apartment – Paulína from Czech Republic – June 30, 2025 (10/10)
Outstanding apartment in Tbilisi I would say, colourfully and nicely designed, comfortable, clean and spacious, well equipped. Simple check in, located close to the Central bus station and easy to get to the centre by bus or minibus. We’ve wanted to rent a stay once again but unfortunately it was not available. Definitely recommended
