Jhonberi 3 Overview

I just came back from a stay at Jhonberi 3, a cozy 4‑star spot in Tbilisi. It’s tucked on Spiridon Kedia Street in the Didube district, so you’re literally a stone’s throw from the bustling Vake Park and the quieter, tree‑lined streets that locals swear are the best for a midnight stroll. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the smell of fresh coffee and a faint hint of rosewater that seems to seep in from the old stone walls outside. I mean, it’s the kind of scent that instantly says, “You’re home.”

The lobby feels like the living room of a friend’s apartment — warm, slightly worn but with that modern polish that a 4‑star hotel should have. The staff greet you with a grin that feels like they’ve known you since the 80s, and the check‑in is a breeze; no long queues, just a quick scan of your ID and a friendly “Enjoy your stay.” I actually had to wait a bit because the front desk was busy with a family from the UK, but that was the first thing I noticed: the hotel’s quiet vibe is a breath of fresh air in a city that can get noisy on the main boulevards. There’s a small parking lot right behind the building that’s surprisingly free of charge, which is a lifesaver after a day of exploring the old town. The only downside is that the parking is a bit cramped, so if you’re bringing a large suitcase, you’ll need to be a bit stealthy to avoid bumping into someone.

Your room is a neat blend of Georgian charm and contemporary comfort. The bed is a plush, over‑stuffed thing that’s surprisingly supportive, and the bathroom feels like a spa with a deep soaking tub and a solid‑state shower that turns the water temperature right on cue. The view from the window is a mix of the city’s gray rooftops and the green canopy of nearby trees; you can actually see the old churches dotting the skyline if you look up. I love the small touches, like the handwritten note on the desk that says “Enjoy the local khinkali, it’s best around the corner at Khinkali 100.” The Wi‑Fi works fine, and the in‑room mini‑bar has a decent selection of local Georgian wines.

The dining area is a relaxed space that feels more like a neighborhood café than a hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet is a real treat: fresh pastries, a selection of cheeses, and that unforgettable spicy Georgian chutney that makes you want to pair it with a glass of sweet red wine. For lunch, they serve a classic *khachapuri* — cheese-filled bread that melts in your mouth. The staff is always ready to recommend the best spots nearby; last night they suggested a little café on Gvantsa Street that serves the freshest *khash* (beef soup) you can find. When you step outside, you’re right next to a small park that’s buzzing with locals in the mornings, and in the evenings the street vendors line the sidewalks with steaming *lobio* (bean stew). I tried their *pilaf* last night, and honestly, it was better than I expected. The only hiccup was that the noise from the street can be a bit loud at 11 pm, but the hotel’s windows have solid double‑pan glass, so it doesn’t ruin the sleep.

All in all, Jhonberi 3 is a hidden gem that feels like a slice of normal life in a city that can be overwhelming. It’s not a resort, so you’ll get the real vibe of Doğubas. You get a clean, comfortable room, a friendly staff, and the chance to mingle with locals without feeling touristy. If you’re planning a trip to Tbilisi, this is the kind of place that will have you saying, “I want to stay here all the time.” The hotel’s blend of authentic Georgian hospitality and practical amenities makes it a solid choice for travelers who want to feel like part of the city, not just a visitor.

What could be improved: المكان شوي بعيد عن مركو المدينه 17 دقيقه . التكيف ضعيف والنت ضعيف

  • На диваны можно приобрести матрасы- подушки требуют стирки. Белье необходимо стираться после каждого клиента!!! – Елена from Kazakhstan – May 5, 2025 (5/10)

What could be improved: Мебель, постельное, уставшие обои.

  • Appart basique, mal indiqué mais rapport qualité prix ok – Hubert from France – March 31, 2025 (5/10)

  • Fair – Ivan from Belarus – July 29, 2025 (5/10)
