Highgarden Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Highgarden Hotel on Nosiri Street, you immediately get the sense that someone put real thought into this place. It’s one of those four-star properties that doesn’t try too hard to impress — the building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with Tbilisi‘s mix of old and new architecture. The entrance feels welcoming without being flashy, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want after a long day of exploring the city.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re right in the heart of things without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips. Nosiri Street puts you within walking distance of most attractions, but it’s actually quiet enough that you can sleep with the windows open. The metro station is close by, which makes getting around super easy, and there are these great little cafes and shops scattered around the neighborhood that you’d never find if you stayed in the more obvious hotel zones. Couples seem to really appreciate this balance — I mean, there’s a reason they rate the location so highly for romantic trips.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed — not huge, but everything had its place and the layout actually made sense. What struck me most was the attention to detail: good lighting for reading, enough outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the soundproofing is solid enough that street noise isn’t an issue. You know what really impressed me? The way they’ve managed to incorporate some Georgian design elements without making it feel like a theme park.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast setup here is actually pretty impressive — they’ve got this buffet spread that covers all the bases, from traditional Georgian options to continental favorites. What really sets it apart is how they handle dietary restrictions; the vegan and halal options aren’t just afterthoughts tossed in a corner, they’re properly integrated into the whole spread. I watched them prepare fresh items throughout the morning, so you’re not stuck with food that’s been sitting out for hours. The restaurant area has this nice, relaxed vibe where you can actually take your time without feeling rushed.

Why Guests Love It

Look, there’s free private parking — and if you’ve ever tried to park in central Tbilisi, you’ll understand why that’s such a big deal. But beyond the practical stuff, this hotel just gets the fundamentals right. The staff knows the neighborhood well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the tourist handbook stuff. The whole place feels like it’s run by people who actually care about hospitality rather than just going through the motions. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable from day one, and honestly, that’s worth more than all the fancy amenities in the world.

The hotel looks stylish. The rooms were clean and comfy. They have air conditioner which was great during hot weather. I liked the breakfast, there was a variety of options, worked for vegetarians as well. We stayed only one night and for the short stay it worked well. Four of us were supposed to stay in a suite with two rooms, but this was unavailable. We got two separate rooms and two bottles of wine instead 🙂
