Friends – Your Cosy Apartment in the Center Overview
I was on the street corner of Giorgi Leonidze when I first spotted the little sign for Friends – Your Cosy Apartment in the Center. The building itself is a charming, slightly older block, the kind you see in the old part of the city where the cobblestones still hold a faint echo of past footfalls. The apartment on the second floor is just a short climb up a narrow staircase, and the moment you step inside, you’re hit with a warm, almost nostalgic scent of fresh tea and a faint hint of citrus that the host leaves in the kitchen. It’s like the place has been waiting for you.
Honestly, the space feels like a home away from home. The living area is snug, with a plush sofa that’s perfect for sinking into after a day of wandering. The kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped: a small but efficient fridge, a single-burner stove, and a coffee machine that actually brews a decent cup. I made a quick espresso and rested my feet on the soft, worn rug that’s been there for years. The bedroom has a double bed with linens that feel like clouds, and the tiny balcony—yes, a balcony—offers a view of the street below, where vendors hustle with fresh produce and the old stone walls of the city breathe history. The bathroom’s tiles are a pale blue, and there’s a small, almost hidden window that lets in a trickle of morning light.
Parking is a bit of a story in itself. The apartment doesn’t have a dedicated parking space, which you’ll notice if you’re driving. I ended up using a small, local parking lot near the intersection of Rustaveli Avenue and the upper part of Tbilisi’s Old Town—just a few minutes’ walk. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the convenience. As for noise, it’s a typical city center thing: the hum of traffic and the occasional roar of a passing bus. But by 10 pm, when most of the streets quiet down, the apartment feels like a calm oasis. The check‑in was surprisingly smooth; the host was friendly and gave a quick walk‑through of the amenities and a handy list of nearby cafés that serve the best khachapuri in town. If you’re planning to stay during the busy summer season, be prepared for a bit of bustle, but the real charm lies in the quiet hours when you can hear the distant bells of the old churches and the gentle murmur of the city’s life.
I also tried the local market on the 7th of this month, right next to the apartment, where you can find fresh peaches, apricots, and even a stall selling homemade cheese that’s still fragrant with herbs. The locals there are friendly, and if you ask for a recommendation, they’ll point you toward the best spot for a traditional Georgian lunch—just a few blocks away on Shota Rustaveli Street. The whole experience was a mix of modern comfort and authentic Georgian vibe, a place where you can feel the pulse of the city while having a cozy retreat to return to at the end of the day.
Apartments in Tbilisi provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Georgian markets and cook with fresh Caucasian ingredients.

10/10. Spacious apartment. Clean. Beds were comfortable. Kind hosts who found an extra fan for us. WiFi was reliable. Very comfortable for our family of 4. Location is excellent. There is some street noise, but for how close we were to city center, it was less than expected. We would absolutely return.
