First Impressions

When I first walked up to Cosy Apartment In the City Centre, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — but the location on Taras Shevchenko Street immediately caught my attention. You’re literally in the heart of Tbilisi, and I mean that in the best possible way. This four-star property sits right in Mtatsminda, which puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything you’d want to see. The building itself has that classic Georgian charm, but what really impressed me was how quiet it felt despite being so central.

The Space

The apartment setup here is actually perfect if you’re traveling as a couple — and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so, since couples consistently rave about this place. You get way more space than a typical hotel room, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying for more than a night or two. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on meals, and there’s something really nice about being able to make coffee in the morning without having to get dressed and hunt down a café. The whole place feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel setup.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about staying right on Taras Shevchenko Street — you can walk to Rustaveli Avenue in about five minutes, which puts you at the doorstep of the National Theatre, various museums, and some of the city’s best restaurant scene. The old town is maybe a fifteen-minute stroll downhill, and honestly, that walk through the winding streets is half the fun. I spent most evenings just wandering around the neighborhood, discovering little wine bars and traditional Georgian eateries that I never would have found if I’d stayed in some touristy area.

Practical Perks

One thing that really stood out — and this might sound boring but trust me, it matters — is the free private parking right on site. If you’re planning to rent a car and explore outside Tbilisi (which you absolutely should), this is huge. Most places in the city center either don’t have parking or charge you an arm and a leg for it. Plus, the whole building feels secure, which gave me peace of mind when I was out exploring late into the evening. The Wi-Fi actually works properly too, which isn’t always a given in this part of the world.

What really makes this place special is how it strikes that perfect balance between being right in the action but still feeling like a peaceful retreat. You know what I mean? You can step outside and be in the middle of everything Tbilisi has to offer, but when you come back at the end of the day, you’re not dealing with street noise or crowds right outside your window. The fact that it consistently gets such high ratings from couples tells you something — there’s a romantic quality to staying here that goes beyond just the location. It’s the kind of place where you can actually picture yourself living, not just passing through.

  Beautiful place to crash after walking through Tbilisi all day. Wonderful neighbourhood, a great view, and close to many sights like gallery mall, National Opera and ballet theathre, historical castles, old city and more. Host made us feel very welcome and gave excellent recommendations for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Not to mention the view from the apartment and the majestic Tbilisi national opera and ballet theater which is located within 7 minutes walking distance from the apartment and is so historic and beautiful!   This was easily one of the best bookings we have ever stayed. It's a cozy modern place with all the amenities (they even have a foldable cloth drying stand), very clean and located at one of the most hip and convenient places of Tbilisi. Check in was very smooth. Giorgi went above and beyond to help us with all our questions including transport/Sim card. Very fast WiFi, which was a blessing.
