The neighborhood itself has that authentic Georgian charm – you’ll find little wine bars tucked into basements and locals playing backgammon in courtyards. But here’s the thing about this particular retreat: while the bones are good (it’s a solid one-bedroom setup with decent natural light), some of the execution feels rushed. The WiFi was spotty during my stay, and the hot water situation was, let’s say, temperamental. I actually had to text the Wehost team twice about basic maintenance issues, which isn’t what you want when you’re trying to relax after long days exploring the city.

What I did appreciate was how quiet it gets at night – Sololaki isn’t as rowdy as some other central areas, so you can actually sleep with the windows open when the weather’s nice. The kitchen is functional enough if you want to grab fresh khachapuri from the bakery downstairs and eat it properly at home rather than standing on the street corner. And you know what? Despite my frustrations with some of the practical stuff, there’s something appealing about having your own space in this part of town rather than dealing with hotel lobbies and breakfast schedules. Just manage your expectations a bit – this feels like a property that’s still finding its groove, and while the photos make it look flawless, the reality is more… lived-in. If you’re the type who can roll with minor inconveniences in exchange for a prime location and your own front door key, you might actually enjoy it here.
