Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places that promise the world and deliver a continental breakfast with stale pastries, but the Blue Balcony Hotel actually gets it right. When I first walked into the lobby, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star place – you know how those ratings can be all over the map – but there’s something immediately welcoming about this spot that caught me off guard.

The thing that really struck me was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. I mean, you can tell someone actually cared about the details here. My room had this gorgeous balcony (hence the name, obviously) that overlooked what I can only describe as the perfect morning coffee spot – I found myself getting up earlier just to sit out there with my cup and watch the neighborhood wake up. The rooms themselves are spacious without feeling empty, and the beds are legitimately comfortable. I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and I slept better there than I have at home lately, which is saying something.

What really won me over, though, was the staff. They’ve got this rare combination of being genuinely helpful without hovering, if that makes sense. The front desk guy – I think his name was Marcus – remembered my name after the first day and actually gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just tourist traps. That 9.2 rating doesn’t surprise me at all when you experience that kind of service. The housekeeping was spot-on too – they managed to clean around my scattered laptop cables and travel mess without making me feel judged for being a slob. Small thing, but it matters when you’re trying to work from the road. Honestly, the whole place just runs smoothly in a way that lets you relax instead of constantly managing little annoyances. I’ve already recommended it to my brother who travels for work constantly, and coming from me, that’s basically the highest praise I can give a hotel.

  We booked 3 rooms in this hotel for our family. Convenient location in the center of the city, small parking nearby, beautiful rooms, friendly staff.
  I can't consider this as disadvantage, but I'd recommend to add a full length mirror and toothbrush holder.

  The hotel is beautiful and also has an interesting history! It is right in the middle of the old town so is close to everything and very walkable, especially if you're arriving via the bus from Kutaisi, which we were. The staff is amazing – we had a great chat with the guy working reception while we were there (I've forgotten his name, unfortunately!) and he shared a lot about the hotel, Tbilisi, and Georgia in general.
  The room was spacious, and the toiletries were very generous. Definitely recommend!
