Bethlehem Terrace Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Bethlehem Terrace on the third floor of a building on Betlemi Rise, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — but this four-star gem completely surprised me. The location is absolutely unbeatable, sitting right in the heart of old Tbilisi where you can practically feel the city’s pulse from your window. You know what struck me first? The intimate scale of the place — it feels more like staying in a beautifully appointed private apartment than a traditional hotel, which actually works perfectly for couples looking for something special.
The Heart of Old Tbilisi
I mean, you really can’t get more central than this. Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by the cobblestone streets and balconied houses that make Tbilisi so enchanting. The sulfur baths are just a short walk away, and honestly, the location makes exploring the old town effortless — no need for taxis or metro rides to reach the main sights. What I love is that despite being so central, the building itself feels tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise. The couples who stay here clearly appreciate this balance, and I can see why the location scores so highly with romantic travelers.
The Space Itself
The room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate. There’s attention to detail that you notice gradually — good lighting for reading, comfortable seating areas, and windows that actually frame views worth looking at. The space has character, which honestly can be rare in modern accommodations. I appreciated that everything felt clean and well-maintained without being sterile. The kitchen setup is particularly nice if you want to grab some fresh Georgian bread and cheese from the local markets and have a quiet breakfast together.
Local Insights
What guests really seem to love — and what I discovered during my stay — is how the location puts you right in the middle of authentic Tbilisi life. You’re not in some tourist bubble; you’re where locals actually live and work. The nearby streets have these wonderful little wine bars and family-run restaurants that you’d never find if you stayed in the more modern districts. Plus, being on the third floor gives you these lovely glimpses over the neighborhood rooftops. The building has that classic Tbilisi architecture that makes you feel like you’re really experiencing the city, not just visiting it.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, it’s the combination of location and intimacy that makes this place special. The 9.7 rating isn’t just about nice amenities — it’s about how the whole experience feels personal and authentic. Couples especially seem to appreciate the romantic atmosphere of the old town setting combined with modern comfort. You’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds to feel like you’ve discovered something special. The fact that it consistently gets such high marks from guests tells you something — this isn’t just a place to sleep, it’s actually part of what makes a Tbilisi trip memorable.
Hotels in Tbilisi offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Caucasian gem, with easy access to museums, thermal baths, and traditional restaurants.

it was quite difficult to find the apartment, but the owner met us somewhere around and took us to the place.

Great appartment up the hill in old Tbilisi, yet just 10 min walk to key city attractions, offers a stunning view over the city. The appartment is well done, has everything for a comfortable stay. Driving up there is tricky, going by foot implies climbing quite a few stairs. But all this is compensated by the charm of the district and the appartment itself and by an incredible view from the terrace

The accommodation is spacious, located above the city center with a great view. The host is very kind and helpful. It is worth taking a trip with him in the area, or even further.

Tatiana from Russia (10/10)
The location and the place itself are amazing: you can walk up to mother Georgia/cable car station/botanical garden or down to get to the old city, baths and pedestrian bridge (5-10 mins). We enjoyed the view from the terrace and windows every evening. The apartment had everything we needed. We'll definitely stay again.

The view from Bethlehem Terrace is simply breathtaking. Nestled on a hill, it offers panoramic vistas of the city that are nothing short of spectacular. Waking up to the sight of the historic city spread out before me, with the ancient architecture and the tranquil surroundings, was a delight every morning. Whether it was the sunrise casting a golden hue on the city or the city lights sparkling at night, the view was a constant source of awe and inspiration.

This is one of the best apartments I have ever stayed as a tourist and during business trips. Very good location in old Tbilisi on a hill with an amazing view of the whole city. Apartment has 4 rooms (3 bedrooms and living room), kitchen, 2 bathrooms, very nice garden and a terrace: everything is great. Me, my wife and children had a real feeling of living in old cozy Tbilisi experiencing a famous Georgian hospitality.

I liked the host, locations (The Old Tbilisi, centre, Mother of Georgia and other noted places are near) and interior very much. Everything was very pleasant, especially the balcony. I would recommend it everyone and I hope I will visit this Place once more.
