Beauty in the Heart of the City Overview
Walking into the lobby of Beauty in the Heart of the City felt like stepping into a quiet, well‑kept secret that a long‑time Tbilisi resident would know about. The first thing that caught my eye was the subtle, hand‑painted mural of Mtatsminda’s skyline, a nod to the city’s iconic view that only locals brag about after a sunset stroll. The staff—young, friendly, and apparently fluent in English and Georgian—greeted me with a warm smile and a quick, “How was your trip?” before handing me the keycard. The check‑in was surprisingly smooth; they didn’t rush you, but they did ask if you needed early check‑in, which I did, and they obliged—no extra fee, just a quick conversation about the best local coffee spots.
The hotel’s address, 14 Ivane Machabeli street, places it right in the heart of the city’s bustling yet historic district. From the lobby window, you can see the street’s lively scene: a vendor selling steaming khachapuri, a group of students laughing near the old Tbilisi railway station, and a cyclist weaving between scooters. It’s a sensory overload, but the rooms are thoughtfully insulated, so the traffic hum fades into a distant murmur. I spent a few minutes in the lobby, sipping a freshly brewed Georgian coffee—black, but with a hint of cardamom—and watched the city’s rhythm from there. If you’re planning to explore the nearby Rustaveli Avenue, the hotel’s proximity means you can hop on a tram or catch a taxi in seconds. And for those who love a bit of history, the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Old Town’s cobblestones, and the lush Tbilisi Botanical Garden are all a short walk away—perfect for a midday stroll after a morning of sightseeing.
Parking is a bit of a mixed bag. There’s a small paid parking lot right outside the hotel, which is convenient, but the rates are a tad high for a 4‑star boutique. If you’re willing to walk, you’ll find free street parking a few blocks down, though you’ll need a parking permit. Noise-wise, the hotel’s location means you’ll hear the city’s life at all hours—traffic, music from nearby restaurants—but the rooms keep the noise to a whisper, thanks to double‑glazed windows. The staff also mentioned that the best time to visit the hotel’s rooftop terrace is early morning; the city is still quiet, and you’ll catch the sunrise over the Mtkvari River. Overall, I’d say this place is a hidden gem for travelers who want to feel the pulse of Tbilisi without sacrificing comfort. It’s not just a stay; it’s a slice of everyday Georgian life, and honestly, that’s what makes it so memorable.
To book a hotel in Tbilisi during major Georgian celebrations, travelers need early planning as this ancient Silk Road capital draws visitors eager to experience its sulfur baths and traditional hospitality.

Reviews of Beauty in the Heart of the City
An amazing apartment in the center of Tbilisi. – Tigranuhi from Armenia – July 24, 2025 (10/10)
Everything, location, the facilities, and Tina who met us in Tbilisi and shared the key. She was super helpful and flexible in everything. I even forgot my charger there and she sent it via transporting company. I am super amazed. You should definitely stay here, if you are in Tbilisi.
Thanks for hosting us.
What could be improved: There is nothing I can mention about. Everything was good.chairs, couches, sofas – Ali from Iraq – August 5, 2024 (10/10)
The location is great,
2 bedrooms with a large living room.
the kitchen has everything you may need.
too many chairs, couches,….
What could be improved: there is only one bathroom, if you are a large group, you may struggle in the morning.A spacious apartment in the city center. – Liga from Latvia – May 23, 2023 (10/10)
Spacious, beautiful and cozy apartment.
Fully equipped kitchen – everything you need for cooking.
It is located in a very good place – in the center, but in a quiet street.
All major tourist attractions are within walking distance.
What could be improved: One bedroom is equipped with a comfortable king size bed, while the second bedroom has a smaller and slightly more uncomfortable bed.
We were only given 1 roll of toilet paper for 5 people for 3 days. 🙂Wonderful – Marek from Czech Republic – December 20, 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: The yard doesn't fit the apartment's otherwise high standard. The apartment self is one of the best I've been to in Georgia (and I have been to many over the years).
Exceptional – Menachem from Israel – October 2, 2022 (10/10)
Nice apartment, very kind people
Cozy and stylish Georgian Home in the center of Tbilisi – Anastasia from Sweden – September 11, 2022 (10/10)
Charming, spacious, central! you pass a cozy yard full of grapes- you enter a beautiful apartment that has lots of space, which makes you feel like home. very stylish, with Georgian feeling and artistic taste! the owner is available 24/7, but you don’t need it – everything is perfect! we want to be back! back to our Georgian home!
Pleasant – Desislava from United States – June 13, 2025 (6/10)
We liked the proximity to the Freedom square
What could be improved: – The property needs at least an hour advance notice for all bookings. The manager is off site. We booked last minute and we had to wait an hour for someone to let us in. Not good for last minute bookings.
– The bathroom, while beautifully decorated, had a ton of long black hairs on the bath rug. (See photo 1)There were no shampoo/conditioner or shower gel. Only a small soap the size of a quarter.
– The AC is only one (wall type) for the whole apartment. No matter the setting, we could not feel the cold air in any room other than the entrance hallway. I had the room next to the entrance, had my door wide open, slept with no cover and sweated all night.
– The property is cash only.
– It sits in the back, in a courtyard, surrounded of old, unmaintained buildings. The entrance is through a tunnel that is not lit at night and a bit scary. Take a flashlight if you are going out at night to help you find the way back to the apartment. (See photo 2)Exceptional – Дмитрий from Russia – August 8, 2025 (10/10)
Exceptional – Marina from Israel – January 5, 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Таких мы не нашли!Exceptional – Alexandr from Russia – July 2, 2024 (10/10)
What could be improved:
