Apartment in Agmashenebeli Overview

Apartment in Agmashenebeli feels like a secret corner of Tbilisi, Georgia, tucked in the quieter part of Chugureti. I first spotted it from the street—Davit Aghmashenebeli Avenue, a clean stretch that’s surprisingly easy to navigate even when the city’s traffic starts picking up around 4 p.m. The building itself is that old‑school Georgian style with a little wrought‑iron gate; you get the sense that the locals have lived here for decades. Check‑in was a breeze: the front desk clerk was a friendly woman who rang you up in a few minutes, handed you a keycard, and then tossed a small guide with a list of the best cafés on 4th Street and the nearest metro station. Honestly, the check‑in experience felt more like a warm welcome than a typical hotel procedure.

The apartment is an open‑plan space that feels like a tiny home. The living area spills into a fully equipped kitchen—kettle, stove, a small fridge, and even a coffee maker that smells like fresh brews from the hallway every morning. The sofa is a soft, beige fabric that’s surprisingly comfortable for a quick nap after a day of exploring. The bed is a queen with linens that feel like a hug; the pillows are a bit firm, but you get the idea. The bathroom is bright and has a glass shower that opens onto a small balcony. The view from the balcony is a blend of the neighboring rooftops and the distant hills, which is a nice escape after a day on the streets. Wi‑Fi is steady, so if you need to check a flight or post a quick update, it’s there, but the signal drops a bit when you’re on the balcony—though that’s not a big deal.

Locally, the neighborhood is a bit quieter than the city center, which is a pro if you’re planning to explore Tbilisi’s Old Town or just want a good night’s sleep. The metro station on the opposite side of the street is a 5‑minute walk away, and there’s a small underground parking lot right behind the building, though the prices can be a bit steep on weekends. If you’re staying during the summer, the noise level from the metro ramps up around 9 p.m., but the apartment’s thick walls do a decent job of muffling it. The best time to visit is early spring or late autumn—lots of tourists, but the streets are not swarming, and the weather is mild enough to wander without a heavy jacket. One critique: the elevator in the building is a bit old and tends to be slow, especially with the crowds in the mornings, so if you’re carrying a lot of luggage it might take a few minutes to get to your floor. But the view from the balcony more than compensates for that.

If you’re craving local flavor, the café on 4th Street has the best chai, and the neighboring bakery is known for its khachapuri—cheese-filled bread that melts in your mouth. For nightlife, there’s a little bar called Baba’s Bar a block away; it’s loud but full of character, and the bartenders know their craft. The apartment’s location is perfect for city lovers who want to be close enough to the action but far enough to enjoy a quiet night’s rest. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a genuine, lived‑in feel in Tbilisi, rather than a generic hotel vibe. The apartment’s charm, the friendly staff, and the real, unfiltered city experience make it a standout spot in Chugureti.

To book a hotel in Tbilisi during major Georgian celebrations, travelers need early planning as this ancient Silk Road capital draws visitors eager to experience its sulfur baths and traditional hospitality.

Reviews of Apartment in Agmashenebeli

  • Exceptional – Vika from Russia – August 17, 2025 (10/10)

Cozy apartment with balcony with amazing view on Agmashenebeli street. All you need is here! Very comfortable! Thank you!!

  • Wonderful – Denisha from Turkey – March 25, 2025 (9/10)

The apartment is really lovely, warm, clean, quiet. It is also conveniently located.

What could be improved: there needs to be a better system for the keys. we arrived and left in the middle of the night; thankfully there was free wifi to call the host to let us in, but if there wasn't we would have been stranded outside at 4am. It would be much better if there were a lockbox or something. Then the host wouldn't have to meet guests at all hours

  • A really comfortable appartment in the center of Tbilisi – Marignon from Georgia – January 7, 2025 (10/10)

A really comfortable appartment very close to the Dry bridge, mid-way to Rustaveli street, Avlabari, Marjanishvili square: any location you might need in the center of Tbilisi.
The windows face a heavily touristic David the Builder street, but the insulation is good and we did not hear any noise.
It was also warm in winter with proper heating.
The hospitabllity of the host was beyond any expectations.

  • Exceptional – Владимир from Georgia – July 27, 2024 (10/10)

Convenient location in the city center. So much good apartment, with a nice view.

  • Exceptional – Olesia from Russia – August 9, 2025 (10/10)

Yauhen from Belarus – June 18, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Сложно назвать это минусом, скорее пожелание – добавить микроволновую печь

  • Takie mogło by być moje mieszkanie 🥰 – Kinga from Poland – May 14, 2025 (10/10)

Czysto, komfortowo, urządzone ze smakiem. Niby mały apartament ale sprytnie przemyślany. Sporo miejsca na własne rzeczy. Wszystkie podstawowe sprzęty są. Środki czystości, ściereczki, ściereczki na wymianę, worki na śmieci, wszystko ułożone z dbałością w czystych szufladach. Garnki, patelnia, cedzak, nawet tarka do warzyw. Czyste. Duża lodówka. Tv z internetem na deszczowe dni. Szeroki prysznic. Urocze

    What could be improved: Nic

  • Exceptional – Ramazanova from Kazakhstan – January 26, 2025 (10/10)

– Agidel from Russia – November 10, 2024 (10/10)
