First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Giorgi’s apartment on Shakriani Street, I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a typical residential building. But you know what they say about judging books by their covers. This four-star property sits right in one of Tbilisi’s most coveted neighborhoods, and once you step inside, you realize why couples are rating the location so highly. The fact that there’s free private parking right here is actually a huge deal — anyone who’s tried to find a spot in this part of the city will tell you that.

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re genuinely in the heart of everything without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist trap. The building is tucked away on a quiet street, but walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll hit some of Tbilisi’s best cafes, wine bars, and those little bakeries where locals actually go. I mean, there’s a reason this area scored an 8.7 for location. You can easily walk to the old town, but you’re also close enough to the modern parts of the city that you don’t feel disconnected from real Georgian life.

The Space Itself

The apartment feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel room. Giorgi has clearly put thought into the details — the furniture is comfortable without being fancy, and there’s enough space to actually spread out your stuff. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which honestly surprised me. Most places give you a mini-fridge and call it a day, but here you could actually cook a proper meal if you wanted to. The whole setup just works, especially if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights.

What Makes It Special

I think what sets this place apart is how it strikes that perfect balance between being professional and personal. The service feels genuine — like Giorgi actually cares whether you have a good time in his city, not just whether you leave a decent review. The apartment itself is spotless and well-maintained, but it doesn’t have that sterile hotel feeling that makes you afraid to touch anything. Plus, having your own space means you can come and go as you please without dealing with front desk hours or feeling like you’re bothering anyone.

Why Guests Love It

After spending time here, I totally get why couples are giving this place such high marks. There’s something romantic about having your own little Georgian hideaway, complete with the freedom to grab wine from the local shop and enjoy it on your own terms. The location score of 8.7 isn’t just numbers on a screen — it’s the reality of being able to walk to dinner, stroll through different neighborhoods, and still come home to a quiet street where you can actually get some sleep. For the price point of a four-star place, you’re getting an experience that feels much more authentic than most hotels in this part of Tbilisi.

  On the positive side, the view from the upstairs apartment is stunning, the host replies quickly, the Wi-Fi is ok, and there’s an outdoor space with a big table that guests can use.
  
  What could be improved: I’d have given this place a higher rating, taking the price into account, if it weren’t for an issue we had at check-out. We had a single booking for three apartments, and some of us left early in the morning. I came down from the upstairs apartment to have breakfast and check out around 10:30, only to discover that two apartments had already been cleaned and all my stuff—breakfast, coffee, food and water for the road, and most importantly, gifts in a branded bag I had stored in the fridge—had been thrown away. I might have left the door to one of the apartments unlocked, but the second one was definitely closed and I still had the key, yet both apartments were cleaned anyway. This is unacceptable. They should have waited until I checked out before getting rid of my things. I had to repurchase the items they threw out. The owner offered no compensation and said we should’ve told them in advance that the place would be partly vacated in the morning, but I don’t believe a few hours make any difference—especially since all three apartments had been booked together and we still had time until the official check-out.
  There clearly is a communication problem between the owner/manager and the staff who take care of the apartments. For example, when we arrived, there wasn’t enough bed linen because they didn’t know how many people were coming (which was clearly stated in the booking information). Also, three cups and glasses for five people is obviously not enough. This isn’t a major problem on its own, but taken together it suggests that communication is lacking.
  Overall, the pictures don’t reflect the reality. The place is more run-down and darker than in the photos, and there’s a weird smell coming from the couches downstairs and one of the bathrooms. The upstairs shower also needs to be repaired. Kitchenware is sparse if you want to cook properly (though they do have air fryers).

  Main thing is how quiet this place is. The street has plenty of free parking and it is safe to park. It is a residential area. Orthodox cathedral right outside. There are city buses right around the corner. Subway is kinda far. I lied the solid bad, shower size and water pressure, fridge is big and the living room.
  
  What could be improved: Amount of lighting in the shower. It was hard to see my face when I was shaving. Maybe ambient lighting in the bedroom is needed.

  First of all very good and warm staff. Location was also good , it’s not in the center , but it’s not far from the main touristic attractions (15-20 minutes) as well. The street was very safe and not noisy. The room was clean .

  The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The decoration is nice.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom was not clean and disinfected. I found hair at the bathroom. Water was collected at the floor of bathroom.
