Abano view apartment Overview
I finally found myself in Tbilisi, the capital that feels like a city that’s always on the verge of turning a casual stroll into an adventure. I booked the Abano view apartment because, honestly, the name sounded like a promise of a quiet spot overlooking the city’s heartbeat, and it turned out to be pretty close. The building is on 29 Abano Street, a modest block that’s not so far from Rustaveli Avenue but still keeps the city’s hustle at a respectful distance. When I pulled into the small parking spot behind the building, the smell of fresh coffee from a nearby café filled my nose—just a hint of the city’s morning rush.
Check‑in was surprisingly smooth. The front desk clerk, a young woman with a bright smile, welcomed me with a quick “We’ve got you covered.” She handed me the keycard and gave me a quick rundown of the apartment’s quirks—like the Wi‑Fi, which, to be fair, is decent but can lag during peak hours (you’ll notice it when you’re binge‑watching Georgian cooking shows). She also mentioned that the building’s intercom is a bit old‑school, so if you’re a tech‑savvy traveler, just press the button and wait a beat. The apartment itself is a cozy two‑bedroom space with a minimalist design that feels like a home rather than a hotel. The beds are plush, the linens are soft—perfect after a long day of exploring.
Speaking of exploring, Abano Street is a treasure trove of local life. I spent an afternoon wandering down to the small market where vendors sold fresh apricots and homemade cheese. The sound of people bargaining, the scent of roasted chestnuts, and the texture of the wooden stalls all combined to make the area feel alive. Not far from there, a narrow alley leads to a little café that serves the best khachapuri I’ve ever tasted. The owner, a friendly old man named Givi, always has a story about the dish’s origins—like a living piece of history.
Noise-wise, the apartment is pretty sound‑tight, though early mornings (around 6 a.m.) can be a bit loud with the city’s traffic starting to move. That’s the only real downside I noticed; the apartment’s windows are solid, but the city’s hum is almost a lullaby if you’re lucky enough to catch a quiet night. During the peak tourist season (late spring to early fall), the streets around Abano Street become bustling, but the apartment remained a calm oasis. I’d say the quiet hours are best between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. when the city’s nightlife settles and the streetlights cast a gentle glow.
Overall, staying at the Abano view apartment was a genuine experience. I could feel the city’s pulse without being overwhelmed, and the apartment’s simple comforts made every evening feel like a personal retreat. If you’re planning a trip to Tbilisi and want a spot that feels like a local’s home with a touch of convenience, this place deserves a top spot on your list. Just keep an eye on the Wi‑Fi during the busiest times, and enjoy the city’s flavors from the very next door.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Tbilisi at least two months ahead for major events like wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near cultural attractions.

Location was awesome with Parking. Very comfy, very well heated, neat and clean.
Great stay, our 2 and 1 yo enjoyed watching tourist wondering around from the window 🙂 – Valeriya from Saudi Arabia – July 1, 2023 (9/10)
Location is great. Very easy to walk around to many attractions and lots of food options around. Easy Bolt pick up. The apartment has great internet and AC in both rooms.
What could be improved: We were aware of the noise in the evening because of the previous reviews. It is very very loud, it did not bother us or our kids as they still use white noise. You can see performance quite well from the restaurant across the street 🙂Excellent location – Tarun from United Arab Emirates – December 19, 2022 (9/10)
I booked this apartment for the last two days of my trip and because our previous host were already booked. But this apartment was good and well maintained, clean and nicely done.
The location was excellent.
We were family of five and it was sufficient for us (one big size double bed, two single beds and one sofa bed). Although the kitchen was well equipped with all necessary appliances but it
was little congested. It was ok for us as we didn't care to cook that much on vacation.
What could be improved: There is only one small mirror in washroom in whole apartment.
The heating in the apartment was good but for some reason the bathroom was very cold inspite of having heater inside.I highly recommend this centrally located apartment in Tbilisi. It offers convenient access to all major attractions and – Muhammad from United Arab Emirates – June 20, 2024 (10/10)
I had the pleasure of staying at an apartment located in the heart of Tbilisi. This exceptional apartment offers convenient access to all the city's attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring. The apartment itself is modern, well-equipped, and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Tbilisi.
great location, friendly and helpful host. I would recommend this place for anyone who’s looking to be in the center of – Ernest from United States – October 16, 2022 (10/10)
the location is amazing. everything you need is within a few minutes walk. it can get a bit noisy at night but that’s understandable because you’re in the center of it all and there are many bars and restaurants so that’s expected. if you need it to be very quiet then you should consider other locations away from the street.
What could be improved: it has only one closet so it would have been nice to have more space where to hang the clothes.Exceptional – Omar from Qatar – September 15, 2022 (10/10)
The best location in the old city everything is near by I recommend
What could be improved: All was perfectExceptional – Charles from United States – October 18, 2023 (10/10)
This apartment has a perfect ease of entrance location in the heart of historical Tbilisi.
What could be improved: Neighbors have junk piled up at the entrance of the apartment building that could easily be removed to match the status of such a special location. Also, be aware payments are in cash… should allow electronic payments. The place to be. – Robin from France – August 12, 2024 (8/10)
Emplacement parfait, et étonnamment calme après 23h dans le quartier le plus animé de Tbilissi.
