Your Home in Tbilisi: Cosy stay in the Old City Overview
Tbilisi feels like a living postcard, and the first thing you’ll notice about Your Home in Tbilisi: Cosy stay in the Old City is that it doesn’t try to hide its roots. Right outside the front door, the worn stone steps creak like an old church bell, and you can hear the distant chatter of a market stall selling fresh apricots and honey. The building itself is a patched‑together cottage‑style structure that locals call “the house with the green shutters.” It’s tucked between a narrow alley that spills out onto a little square where a busker plays a saz, and a few steps down is the old Tbilisi Botanical Garden – a cool, shady spot you can wander to after a long day.
Check‑in is a relaxed affair. The front desk manager, Nino, greets you with a warm smile and a quick rundown of the house rules, like how to use the shared balcony grill (it’s a great way to whip up a quick khachapuri). There’s no hidden “silent hours” policy – you can be as loud as you like on the balcony (just not at 3 am, because the neighboring apartment has a cat that thinks it’s a night‑time choir). Parking is a bit of a hunt; there’s a small lot behind the building but it fills up fast during the summer, so I usually walk the 10‑minute stretch to the nearby parking garage on Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue, which has free Wi‑Fi and a decent view of the old town skyline.
The rooms are the real gem. The bed feels like a promise of sleep after a day of exploring, with a mattress that’s just firm enough and sheets that smell faintly of lavender (thanks to the owner’s little aromatherapy stash). I actually fell asleep to the sound of a distant church bell and the soft hum of a refrigerator in the kitchen, a comforting mix that reminds you you’re home. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with a rain shower that makes you feel like you’re in a luxury spa in a whole other city. The décor is an eclectic mix of antique Georgian furniture and modern art pieces that I swear were found in a flea market on Mtatsminda Street. I’d recommend ordering the traditional Georgian breakfast, which comes with a steaming pot of black tea, freshly baked pkhali, and a generous plate of cheese and walnuts – a near‑mandatory ritual for anyone staying in the Old Town.
Noise in the evenings can be a bit lively, especially on nights when the city’s nightlife starts up. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest using earplugs – there’s a tiny soundproofing kit on the shelf, but a simple pair of earplugs does the trick. The city’s traffic is a constant hum, but the building’s thick walls keep the noise at a manageable level. You’ll also notice that the lights on the balconies flicker on at dusk, giving the whole block a warm, almost fairy‑tale glow.
Travelers who want to soak up the local vibe will love the proximity to a few hidden gems. Just a two‑minute walk south of the hotel is the Sioni Cathedral, where you can admire the frescoes and the intricate stonework. A short stroll east brings you to the bustling market at Freedom Square, where vendors sell handmade pottery and artisanal cheeses – a perfect spot for a quick lunch or to pick up a souvenir. For a more relaxed afternoon, head to the nearby Café Arax, a spot that serves the best badrijani (eggplant rolls) in town, and watch the city’s rhythm unfold around you.
Bottom line: staying at Your Home in Tbilisi: Cosy stay in the Old City is like having a friendly neighbor who always knows the best spots for coffee, the quiet corners to read, and the perfect time to catch a sunset over the old fortress walls. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a place that feels like a second home when you’re in Tbilisi.
Best hotels in Tbilisi range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town to elegant hillside hotels with stunning views of the Mtkvari River and Narikala Fortress.

Very convenient location in a safe and modern area, with very good public transport incl. numerous buses and metro.
The apartment is modern, well equipped and really comfortable for short, but also long stays.
The host was kind and always available if needed.

What could be improved: –A real home in Tbilisi – Milena from Bulgaria – September 28, 2022 (10/10)
Everything was perfect! Good location, not far from the main things, but at the same time in a nice, quiet district. The apartment has everything it needs to feel like a real home: comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, clean bathroom and a cosy terrace. A very pleasant host. I highly recommend the place.
What could be improved: No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot think of anything not to like. Everything was perfect.Great place in Tbilisi – Saskia from Netherlands – June 28, 2025 (9/10)
Very nice apartment with all the amenities. Easy to find by the good explanation of the co-host incl. video instruction. It was anyway very easy and quick to communicate with him. He responded quickly if we had a question and could check out later. That was very nice!
Good neighborhood to stay and extra convenient that there is a small supermarket in the building to buy bread for example.
What could be improved: There were a few minor points. The mattress is a little on the hard side. Not extremely hard, but not very comfortable either.
The shower is fine, but there is no shower curtain, so the bathroom is always wet after showering. Fortunately, there are plenty of towels in the apartment to dry the floor with if necessary.
Furthermore, I missed a tea towel in the kitchen, to dry the dishes with. Not a big deal, but just nice to have it.
And make sure you have earplugs with you. The apartment (including the bedroom) is on a busy road and you can hear the noise quite well. That would be the only reason for me not to book it next time. Other than that, it is a very nice accommodation.Лучший признак, что всё было отлично- желание вернуться снова! – Iryna from Belarus – September 1, 2025 (10/10)

Exceptional – Крецу from Russia – August 15, 2025 (10/10)
