You know what really struck me about Wyndham Grand Tbilisi? It’s one of those hotels that actually lives up to its five-star rating without being stuffy about it. I mean, when you walk into that lobby, there’s this immediate sense that they’ve figured out how to blend modern luxury with Georgian hospitality – and honestly, that’s harder to pull off than you’d think.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in the heart of Tbilisi, close enough to the Old Town that you can easily walk to places like the sulfur baths or catch the cable car up to Narikala Fortress, but you’re not stuck in the middle of all the tourist chaos either. I found myself appreciating that balance, especially in the evenings when you want somewhere quiet to decompress after a day of exploring those winding cobblestone streets. The staff – and this is something I always notice – they seem to genuinely know the city. Like, they’ll give you directions to that little wine bar tucked away near the Mtkvari River that you’d never find on your own, or they’ll tell you the best time to visit the Chronicle of Georgia when the light hits just right.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail that you only notice when you’re actually staying there. The rooms are spacious (which is not always a given in city center hotels), and there’s this subtle Georgian design influence that feels authentic rather than theme-park-ish. The beds are seriously comfortable – I’m talking about the kind of sleep where you wake up confused about what time zone you’re in. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with rainfall showers that actually have good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of the world. Room service was reliable, and the breakfast spread was impressive without being overwhelming – they do this amazing khachapuri that’s worth getting up for, plus all the international options you’d expect. The fitness center is decent if you’re the type who needs to keep up with your routine, and there’s a spa that I didn’t try but looked pretty tempting after long days of sightseeing. With an 8.5 rating from guests, it’s clear I’m not the only one who had a solid experience here. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable bringing clients for a business dinner or just relaxing with family, and the service strikes that perfect balance between attentive and not hovering over you constantly.

  Wyndham Baku is a gem; professional staff, immaculate room, delicious and fresh breakfast options, 100% walkable location , high quality furnishings in the room, comfortable bed, thick robes.. Three nights was not long enough! The general manager is personable, professional and informative. Everyone speaks perfect English.

  Located extremely close to the Freedom Square and Galleria Mall, Well known by the Taxi drivers in Tblisi, Friendly and accommodating staff. Amazing Shower in the room and Quality of the Furniture and Other things is superb too.
