White House Overview
I found myself at Tbilisi‘s White House, a surprisingly cozy 4‑star spot tucked into Didi Kheivanis street. The front desk greeted me with a smile that felt like a nod from an old friend, and the check‑in was a breezy 15‑minute affair—no long queues, just a quick scan of my passport and an instant key card. The lobby was modest but clean, with a faint scent of cedar wood that reminded me of the Georgian countryside. I spotted a small café corner where locals sat with steaming mugs of qvevri wine, chatting about the day’s news. The view from the lobby windows was a messy mosaic of brick roofs and the distant rustle of the Mtkvari river, a reminder that Tbilisi still feels alive and a bit chaotic.
The room itself was a comfortable blend of modern and traditional. A plush queen bed with linen that smelled faintly of fresh laundry, a flat‑screen TV, and a surprisingly large ensuite shower that felt like a spa, though the water pressure sometimes hiccupped. The minibar was a bit pricier than I’d expect for a 4‑star place, but the selection of local rum and a box of Georgian sweets made up for it. I noticed a small, well‑designed desk—perfect for jotting down a quick itinerary. The noise level from the street was moderate; the hotel does its best with insulation, but I could still hear the occasional honk of a taxi and the rhythmic chatter of the nearby market. The balcony, though, offered a quiet spot to sip tea while watching the sunset over the city’s hills—an instant favorite.
Parking was a mixed bag. The hotel does offer valet, but the space is limited; a quick search later, I found a small street spot two blocks away that seemed adequate. However, during peak tourist season, the streets around Didi Kheivanis can get pretty congested, so it’s worth arriving early or arranging a ride from the hotel. Speaking of nearby spots, the hotel’s location is a perfect launchpad for exploring Vake’s lush parks and the historic Old Town—just a five‑minute walk through narrow lanes lined with stone houses. The sulfur baths are a stone’s throw away, and if you’re hungry for authentic Georgian cuisine, a quick stop at a local khachapuri shop on Rustaveli Avenue is a must. The only real gripe was the coffee machine in the lounge; it could use a refill of beans, and the strong espresso it did produce was a bit bitter. But honestly, those small hiccups were outweighed by the overall vibe—warm, welcoming, and authentically Georgian.
In short, the White House is a solid choice for travelers who want a comfortable stay without the fluff of a mega‑hotel, yet still desire easy access to the city’s cultural heartbeat. The staff are genuinely friendly, the rooms are well kept, and the location—though not described as “

Excellent host, well maintained property and good location. 4.5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Perfect for a family or group. Separate games room and living rooms meant lots of space for us to be individually to do work or even be in the living room to relax together.

Our family of 10 really enjoyed our stay at White House. The house itself is fantastic with comfortable bedrooms and great amenities like the pool table, swimming pool, etc. Our host, Gaga, was always available to answer questions and was flexible with our arrival and departures. He was our first example of true Georgian hospitality.
It’s a 10 minute cab ride or 30 minute walk to Old Town. It’s in the city but far enough from the hustle and bustle to provide some peace and quiet. There were several restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. For the nights we didn’t feel like going out, we could order Wolt restaurant or grocery delivery that arrived in less than half an hour. For smaller groups, I’d recommend using the Bolt app to get around the city. For larger groups, you may want to give the host advanced notice for shuttle transport or consider hailing more than one Bolt ride to get around. GoTrip.ge is another excellent site for organising day trips out of the city.
White House is pricier than many other options in the city, but it’s worth every penny. You won’t regret staying at this wonderful house!Exceptional – Abbdullahalkindi from United Arab Emirates – November 27, 2022 (10/10)
