Check‑in was surprisingly smooth—no long lines, but the key‑card system hiccuped a bit, so I had to swap the card with a staff member on the spot. The lobby’s vibe was a mash of old Soviet posters and fresh paint, a juxtaposition that felt like a conversation between past and present—no big, polished “convenient location” buzzwords, just “you’re in the heart of the city” realness. The smell of fresh coffee from the tiny café inside the building was one of those first‑hand cues that this place was all about the everyday, not the curated.

The room itself was a kind of living gallery. Each wall was draped in art from local Georgian artists, some of whom I’d seen at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre on a rainy afternoon. The texture of the linen on the bed was surprisingly buttery, and the dark wood of the desk had a faint scent of oak that made the whole space feel like an art studio. I spent a few hours just staring at the portraits, and honestly, it’s rare to find a hotel that goes beyond a few poster frames. The balcony was a tiny, but it opened onto a street that smelled of roasted chestnuts and the faint echo of the old bazaar. The traffic at dawn was a low roar—no sirens, just the hum of bicycles and the distant chatter of early‑morning commuters. By the time the sun set, the street lights flickered on, and the neighborhood quieted, giving a kind of nocturnal hush that was almost cinematic. I even pulled out my phone to capture the play of light on the limestone walls, hoping to share that with a buddy back home.

  1. This is a fantastic apartment that is so artfully furnished with unique and quirky details. It is large and full of light!
  2. There is a separate shower and toilet, in the apartment, which is an EXCELLENT layout!
  3. It is just as the pictures or, actually, even better!
  4. The service and communication were excellent! I want to commend the housekeeper for her service!!
  5. There was a wide array of pots and plates and cups, glasses and cooking utensils and the stove was excellent! The rest of amenities were also excellent! You can see that everything is carefully thought out and taken into consideration!
  6. The air conditioning worked well, but it took a while to cool the entire apartment.
  7. The WiFi functioned very well!
  8. GREAT value for money and quality of experience!
  9. The location was excellent! Just a few minutes walk from the old town etc.
  
  I have stayed in many apartments and this is one of the best I have stayed in. I can highly recommend it!
  
  What could be improved: 1. It is not easy to close the outer shutters in the living room to “darken” the windows, since a lot of light comes in and you cannot shut the bedroom door because the air conditioning is in the living room and the bedroom door needs to be open in order to let it in. There should be blackout curtains in the living room too!
