Two bedroom apartment with amazing city view – Telescope Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Two bedroom apartment with amazing city view – Telescope, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the name alone — but wow, this place completely surprised me. The four-star apartment sits on David Aghmashenebeli Street, and you know what? The telescope reference actually makes perfect sense once you see those floor-to-ceiling windows. The whole setup feels like someone’s stylish city pad rather than a typical hotel stay, which I mean, is exactly what you want when you’re spending more than a night or two in Tbilisi.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s the thing about Chugureti — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals actually live in, not just where tourists get shuffled. You’re right on David Aghmashenebeli, which is this beautifully restored street that feels like old Tbilisi but with great cafes and wine bars mixed in. I walked to the sulfur baths in about fifteen minutes, and honestly, getting to Rustaveli Avenue takes maybe ten minutes if you’re not stopping to peek into every courtyard (which you will). The couples who stay here seem to get it — there’s something romantic about having your own little perch above the city.
The Space Itself
The two-bedroom layout actually works brilliantly even if you’re just a couple — you get this sense of space that regular hotel rooms just can’t match. The main room opens up to those massive windows, and during the day, the light just floods in. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab some Georgian wine and cheese from the market downstairs. What really got me was the view though — you can see across the old town rooftops toward the Mtkvari River, and at sunset, well, you’ll understand why they included that telescope.
Living Like a Local
There’s something about staying here that makes you feel less like a tourist passing through. Maybe it’s having your own parking spot (which, trust me, matters in this part of town), or maybe it’s just the way the morning light hits that dining area. The building itself has this quiet, residential feel — you’re not dealing with lobby crowds or elevator small talk. I found myself actually cooking breakfast a few times instead of rushing out, just because the space invited that kind of slower pace.
Why Guests Love It
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Tbilisi, and this one just hits differently. The 9.8 rating isn’t some fluke — it’s because you get this perfect balance of being right in the action but having your own peaceful retreat to come back to. The telescope thing might sound gimmicky, but on a clear night, being able to actually see the city spread out below you? That’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable. Plus, having two bedrooms means you can spread out, have friends visit, or just use that second space as your own little office if you’re working remotely.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Tbilisi at least two months ahead for major events like wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near cultural attractions.

Very clean and cozy house, good location, good host, great view.
What could be improved: The apartment is on the last floor and without an elevator. Not a problem for us but if a lot of luggage than would be a bit difficult to get there.Exceptional – Silviu-cristian from United Kingdom – April 23, 2025 (10/10)

The room is very spacious and has everything you need. It has a great view of the city and gets tons of sunlight. The bed is very comfortable.
The location is prefect, most places are at walking distance. You can find cafes, restaurants and shops open even at night.
The staff is very friendly and responsive.Nice Appartment with great view – Vasilii from Russia – November 21, 2022 (9/10)
The apartment is very homely and welcoming. Great attention to detail in terms of design, both in the bedroom and the communal area. Lots of plants and small decorative features. Kitchen has all the basic utensils you require to cook a basic meal. The room was clean. Great views from the window.
It’s in a very nice neighbourhood, central but not rundown, lots of restaurants nearby. Close to the train station and to the metro, but also within walking distance of the old town (although quite a long walk).
Importantly, the room was very warm in the middle of November, which is quite rare in Tbilisi!
Hosts were helpful and caring, messaged us to apologise for construction noise outside, which we hadn’t even noticed!
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
As everyone has mentioned, it’s on the 4th floor up narrow stairs, which is totally fine if you only have hand luggage.
What could be improved: Not easy find the enter from first time.Exceptional – Aiya from Kazakhstan – November 15, 2022 (10/10)
