Two bedroom apartment with amazing city view – Telescope Overview

I landed in Tbilisi on a chilly November afternoon, the kind of weather that makes you feel like you’re walking through a misty postcard. The apartment, called “Two bedroom apartment with amazing city view – Telescope,” is tucked into the 111 David Aghmashenebeli Street block, right in the heart of Chugureti. You know, that neighborhood feels like a cozy blend of old Soviet charm and modern buzz; the street itself is lined with those quirky cafés that serve the best pumpkin soup in town, and there’s a tiny park just a few steps away where locals throw their golf balls into the fountain—what a sight to see people practicing their swings while the city hums in the background.

The first thing you notice when you step inside is the sheer openness of the living area. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame a view of the city’s skyline that makes you feel like you’re looking out from a telescope, which is actually how the place got its name. The apartment feels like a home away from home: there’s a comfy sofa, a smart TV, and a tiny kitchen stocked with everything you’d need to whip up a quick Georgian meal—think khachapuri and a bottle of local white wine. Honestly, the kitchen’s layout is incredibly practical; the stove, fridge, and sink are all in a straight line, so you can cook and clean without ever having to step out of the room. And the beds? They’re not the most luxurious, but the mattresses are firm and the sheets feel like a cloud of freshly laundered linen, which is a big win after a long day of sightseeing.

Check‑in is a breeze. The building’s concierge is friendly—his name is Nika, and he’ll hand you a keycard while giving you a quick rundown of the neighborhood. He mentioned that the parking situation is a bit tight; there’s a small underground lot right under the building, but you’ll need to pay a small fee if you’re staying longer than a weekend. If you’re a driver, it’s easier to park on the curb, but be prepared for a lot of scooters and two‑wheelers zipping by. The noise level in the apartment is pretty low; the only sounds that leak in are the distant chatter from the street and the occasional siren from the metro line below—nothing that wakes you up in the middle of the night. The building itself is a bit older, so the hallway lights flicker a few times, but that’s more of a character quirk than a flaw.

As for what’s around, you can’t miss the Tbilisi TV Tower a couple of blocks away—it’s a great spot for sunset photos. The cathedral of Sioni is just a 10‑minute walk, and if you’re into history, the National Museum of Georgia is a stone’s throw away. For a real taste of local life, make a point to stop by the small market on Kote Marjanishvili Street; the vendors sell fresh produce, and you’ll hear the bargaining in Georgian that sounds like music. If you’re staying during the busy summer months, expect the streets to fill with tourists, but the apartment’s windows keep the noise to a minimum. In the quieter winter months, you’ll hear the city’s old stone streets echo with your footsteps, and the crisp air makes the coffee in the apartment taste even better.

All in all, the “Telescope” apartment feels like a home that’s both comfortable and fully connected to the pulse of Tbilisi. You’ll find yourself forgetting the hustle of booking sites and instead focusing on the smells of fresh bread from the bakery down the street, the rustle of leaves at sunset, and the feeling that you’ve discovered a hidden gem in the city. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to everything without the feel of a huge hotel lobby, this is the spot that will make you want to write a postcard to your friends about how amazing a city can feel when you have a window that looks out on it.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Tbilisi at least two months ahead for major events like wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near cultural attractions.

  • Exceptional – Mark from Armenia – June 1, 2025 (10/10)

Very clean and cozy house, good location, good host, great view.

What could be improved: The apartment is on the last floor and without an elevator. Not a problem for us but if a lot of luggage than would be a bit difficult to get there.

The room is very spacious and has everything you need. It has a great view of the city and gets tons of sunlight. The bed is very comfortable.
The location is prefect, most places are at walking distance. You can find cafes, restaurants and shops open even at night.
The staff is very friendly and responsive.

  • Nice Appartment with great view – Vasilii from Russia – November 21, 2022 (9/10)

The apartment is very homely and welcoming. Great attention to detail in terms of design, both in the bedroom and the communal area. Lots of plants and small decorative features. Kitchen has all the basic utensils you require to cook a basic meal. The room was clean. Great views from the window.
It’s in a very nice neighbourhood, central but not rundown, lots of restaurants nearby. Close to the train station and to the metro, but also within walking distance of the old town (although quite a long walk).

Importantly, the room was very warm in the middle of November, which is quite rare in Tbilisi!

Hosts were helpful and caring, messaged us to apologise for construction noise outside, which we hadn’t even noticed!

Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

As everyone has mentioned, it’s on the 4th floor up narrow stairs, which is totally fine if you only have hand luggage.

What could be improved: Not easy find the enter from first time.
