TownPlace Overview
I arrived in Tbilisi on a breezy spring afternoon, the kind of day that makes you feel like the city is breathing with you. The hotel sits right on Bochorma Street, close enough to the bustle of Rustaveli Avenue yet tucked into a quieter block that smells faintly of fresh coffee and the faint rustle of old paper from the nearby bookstore. The first thing that struck me was the building’s modern façade with a hint of Georgian revival style—those subtle stone arches at the entrance that nod to the city’s rich history. Check‑in was a breeze; the front desk staff greeted me with a warm smile and a quick digital verification that meant no long queues, and they even offered a local map with a handwritten note: “Try the bakhshabi from the corner tea house after you settle in.” That little touch made it feel less like a corporate lobby and more like a friendly neighbor’s welcome.
The room itself was a comfortable blend of contemporary chic and cozy touches. The bed was surprisingly plush—think memory foam that still feels like a cloud—and the window offered a panoramic view of the city’s low skyline, with the distant peaks of the Caucasus peeking out when the sun dipped behind the buildings. I love the little details: a small wooden shelf with a stack of travel guides, a dual‑zone thermostat that let me keep the room cool while the outside heat was relentless, and a 4K TV with free streaming of local Georgian content—stunning! The bathroom was a surprisingly modern oasis, full of natural light, a rain shower, and a set of locally made soaps that smelled like citrus and fresh herbs. There’s a tiny balcony that feels like a private balcony and a real sense of space. The only gripe: the Wi‑Fi is decent but sometimes lags when someone in the building is streaming a live football match—Georgia does love its football, I mean, if you’re a fan, you’ll know the passion.
Beyond the room, the hotel’s location is its real gem. You’re only a ten‑minute walk from the famous Mtatsminda Park, where you can catch a tram ride and soak in the city’s skyline at sunset. The street itself is lined with a mix of old cafés and new art galleries—there’s a little photo shop called “Lena’s Lens” that’s become a local favorite for Instagrammers. Parking is straightforward: a small underground lot right behind the building, and the attendants make sure you’re not left searching for a spot. The noise level is just right—quiet enough to not feel isolated, yet you can hear the faint murmur of the city’s life. The only real downside is that the hotel’s breakfast area can get crowded during the peak tourist season, so if you’re an early riser, you might want to grab a coffee from the street vendor across the corner before the line forms. All in all, TownPlace feels like a home away from home, where the locals’ warmth and the city’s vibrant pulse are woven into every corner. If you’re looking to explore Tbilisi’s heart without the tourist trap, this place will give you that insider vibe you’re after.
Best hotels in Tbilisi range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town to elegant hillside hotels with stunning views of the Mtkvari River and Narikala Fortress.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at George's apartment in Tbilisi, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, George was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The apartment itself is charming, well-equipped, and conveniently located. It's the perfect base for exploring the beautiful city of Tbilisi. One of the most delightful surprises was discovering a friendly parrot in the courtyard, which you can pet – a unique and enjoyable touch to my stay!
Georg went above and beyond by gifting me some homemade Tkemali sauce and a bottle of exquisite Georgian wine. These personal touches made my stay even more special and memorable.
I highly recommend George's apartment for anyone looking to experience the warmth and hospitality of Tbilisi. Thank you, George, for an amazing stay!Great – Gena from Israel – June 3, 2024 (10/10)
