I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name The Urban Retreat, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, how “retreat-like” can a place really be when it’s sitting right in the middle of the city? But you know what, this 4-star spot actually lives up to its name in ways I didn’t expect.

The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate shift in energy that’s hard to describe. It’s like they’ve managed to create this bubble of calm while still keeping you connected to all the urban buzz outside. The lobby has this warm, residential feel – think more sophisticated living room than typical hotel reception area. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting you settled, not just processed through check-in. I watched them spend actual time with each guest, sharing recommendations that felt personal rather than rehearsed.

What really impressed me was how they’ve thought about the little things that frequent travelers actually notice. The soundproofing is exceptional – and I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs because city hotels can be brutal with street noise. The rooms have this perfect balance of modern functionality without feeling sterile. There’s actual drawer space (why is this so rare?), the lighting actually works for reading, and the shower pressure – well, let’s just say it’s the kind that makes you not want to leave. The beds are seriously comfortable too, though I did find the pillows a bit soft for my taste, but they had alternatives when I asked. The whole place maintains this consistent quality that you notice after staying in dozens of hotels – everything just works the way it should. With a 9.6 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and honestly, after spending a few nights there, I get it. It’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, it’s just exceptionally well-executed hospitality. You leave feeling like you actually rested, even after busy days exploring the city.

I highly recommend the apartment and you will not regret here!

  It was such a pleasant stay in the apartment. Location is perfect, 3 minute walk away from Liberty square (City center) and the apartment is really nice, its view astonishing. Hpst is a great Person , very helpful and kind and in my case also flexible for the check-out – thank you for that.
  The only bad thing is that I didn't stay in the apartment longer 🙂
