The best view on Tbilisi Overview

I stayed at The best view on Tbilisi, right in the heart of Tbilisi, and honestly, it felt like a secret that only locals know how to keep. The address—Salami Street 14—puts you smack in the middle of the old city’s winding lanes, just a stone’s throw from the bustling market stalls of Dezerter Market and the aroma of freshly baked khachapuri drifting from the nearby bakery. The building itself is a charming two‑story Georgian townhouse, its façade painted in soft ochre that contrasts beautifully with the green of the surrounding balconies. When you step onto the balcony, you’re greeted by the distant hum of the city’s traffic and the faint echo of a saxophone from a jazz bar on Rustaveli Avenue. It’s the sort of moment that makes you feel like you’re part of the city’s everyday rhythm, not just a tourist hovering on the outskirts.

Check‑in was smooth, but not too sweet. The front desk clerk—an energetic woman named Nino—was eager to show you around, but the small lobby’s lighting was a bit too dim for my taste. There’s a coffee machine that works only on the 9‑th floor, so if you’re a morning person, you’ll have to climb the stairs with your mug. The rooms themselves are a mixed bag: the bed is plush and the linens feel like a cloud, but the bathroom’s shower head leaks a little, so you’ll want to bring a towel just in case. Noise can be an issue on the nights of the Georgian New Year’s celebrations—red lights flash, music blares, and the whole street turns into a living festival—but otherwise, the building is surprisingly quiet. Parking is free on the street, but you’ll have to battle a handful of scooters and the occasional taxi that refuses to yield.

What really makes this place shine is the local vibe it captures. The staff know the best spots to eat: a tiny tandoor joint on the corner of Gorgasali Street and a gelato shop that sells pistachio ice cream from the 2000s sugar‑raw machine. If you’re craving something sweet, head over to the bakery—its fresh dough has a scent that lingers long after you leave. For those who love history, the museum of the first Soviet music hall is a ten‑minute walk away, while the nearby Freedom Square offers a panoramic view of the old city’s spires. I remember one evening when I slipped out of the hotel to a rooftop bar, and the sunset painted the sky in a buttery orange that made the whole city feel like a postcard turned real. The best part? You can hear the city’s pulse at any hour—whether it’s the soft clink of a tea pot or the distant call to prayer from a mosque. It’s the kind of place that makes you fall in love with the city again, waking up each morning with a new curiosity about the streets you’re about to wander.

Great location, very nice owner. Thanks!

  • Exceptional – Tse from Hong Kong – September 6, 2023 (10/10)

Room is clean and comfortable. The owners live next door so you could get help easily. The apartment is just under the castle and cable car so you could enjoy the view anytime. Toilet and small kitchen are outside the apartment just few steps down.

  • Next time I will definitely stay in this apartment! – Анастасия from Georgia – June 19, 2023 (10/10)

Good location of the apartments in the heart of the old town. Very nice view of the city. Comfortable veranda with a canopy in front of the entrance to the house. Having warm blankets in the house for chilly evenings. Pleasant and friendly hostess.

What could be improved: Nothing, everything was perfect!

  • Exceptional – Guiping from United Arab Emirates – December 26, 2022 (10/10)

best location in the Old Tbilisi. If you don't mind climbing the stairs, you will see the best view of Tbilisi. And it's next to the 144 satirs cafe, worth trying.

  • Perfect – Supapirom from Thailand – October 29, 2024 (9/10)

Best view with comfortable beds. The room is big fit for the big group of friends maybe 6! We are here only two persons but always thinking about how wonderful it should be if we bring friends to celebrate the best view of tbilisi together next time. If you guys choose to live here, there is no need to find any other viewpoint of tbilisi to compare bcuz here is the best and beyond. Only Few steps down from Mother of georgia but this is private!

What could be improved: Stairs and space for car parking but it still okay for us.

  • Very Good – Farhad from Iran – October 16, 2024 (8/10)

The balcony was awesome, beautiful, really the best view in tiblisi. Staff was very kind and helpful.

What could be improved: Stairs, stairs. You climb every day. If you are young and athletic person is good for you

  • Very Good – Chris from Australia – March 1, 2023 (8/10)

Great views, interesting location, lovely host. Price is great and it can sleep alot of people. Local cats are funny.

What could be improved: Separate kitchen/bathroom is awkward at best. Noise from nearby bars doesn't stop until 5am on weekends. Feels a bit like camping in a big city!

  • Wonderful – Shyamala from Kuwait – May 5, 2023 (9/10)

The host was very helpful and very welcoming. She guided us in her best way to explore tbilisi. The view of tbilisi city was amazing from the apartment. We enjoyed throughout our stay. Apartment was very spacious. I would love to spare one more day in the apartment admiring tbilisi.

What could be improved: The restroom and kitchen was outside the apartment.

  • Really the BEST VIEW in the city! The accommodation itself quite the opposite. – Marek from Czech Republic – October 30, 2023 (7/10)

    the view is AMAZING

What could be improved: the accommodation rooms themself, and quality of the beds were the opposite of the amazing view
