Tbilisi Town Overview

I stayed in Tbilisi last month at Tbilisi Town, and honestly it felt like a cozy hide‑out in the heart of a city that’s constantly buzzing. The hotel sits on 43 Avlip Zurabishvili St, right where the old‑world charm of the old town meets the modern vibe of the new. The first thing you notice is the big, slightly chipped stone door that looks like it could be from a Georgian novel. Inside, the lobby is low‑key, with a couple of wooden tables and a fireplace that crackles just enough to keep the chill from the night air at bay. The check‑in was smooth—though it did take a bit longer than I’d expected, so if you’re in a hurry you might want to call ahead, but the staff were friendly and offered a quick local guide on the spot. Parking is a bit of a hunt; you can snag a spot on the street if you’re willing to walk a block, or there’s a small paid lot a few stairs down that’s usually free on weekends.

When you step into your room, the first thing that hits you is the scent of fresh laundry and a faint hint of the city’s incense stalls outside. The bed is surprisingly comfortable—the mattress is firm enough to support a good night’s rest, but the sheets are soft enough to feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom is small but functional, with a shower that’s hot enough to wash away the dust of a day spent wandering the cobblestones. They’re generous with towels, and the complimentary toiletries are decent, though I did miss a little bit of the fragrant soaps that used to be a staple in Georgian hotels. The room’s windows face a quiet side street, so you can hear the distant chatter of locals and the occasional horns, but the building’s old brick walls keep the noise at a level that lets you fall asleep straight away. If you’re sensitive to sound, stay in a room on the higher floors—those seats are a bit more insulated and let you enjoy the city’s nighttime hum without it turning into a migraine.

Outside, the street to the right of the hotel is a maze of tiny cafés, bakeries, and a handful of souvenir shops that sell everything from hand‑woven rugs to stone carvings. I stopped by a corner café called “Pirozhki” (yes, they’re Russian pastries, but the taste is unmistakably Georgian) and ordered a cup of black coffee that was, frankly, the best I’ve had in the city. The street’s traffic is lively—there are taxis,

Tbilisi’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with traditional charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this hospitable Georgian capital.

Reviews of Tbilisi Town

  • Nice holiday in Tbilisi – Jane from Montserrat – August 3, 2025 (9/10)

Very good hotel, the location is good, the staff was always ready to help! There are lots of supermarkets nearby, and bus stops are 5-10 min walk.

What could be improved: Room cleaning is not provided during your stay. But when we arrived, everything was neat and clean. You have to ask for room facilities whenever you are out of it. The lights on the street are broken, so it might be quite dark in the evening.

  • Very Good – Alan from South Africa – June 9, 2025 (8/10)

Very spacious room with cupboards and a nice bathroom. The water pressure is excellent. The aircon is lovely to have. There's also 24/7 reception.

What could be improved: There is no bedside lamp, and the breakfast could be a little better

  • Very Good – Himanshu from Georgia – April 1, 2025 (8/10)

They didn’t asked any useless question just asked for me id and have room key.

  • Good – Maya from United Kingdom – August 9, 2025 (7/10)

    Good for one night

  • Good – Yashpal from India – August 3, 2025 (7/10)

The host Abdul was very friendly and Cordial. He was always ready to help and facilitate…Want to stay again..

  • Nice cozy little room with balcony. Courteous and helpful staff – Lily from India – May 5, 2025 (8/10)

We made the booking for the night, just the night before our flight and they accepted. They coordinated throughout and they arranged a mid night pick up from the airport as well.

What could be improved: The bathroom was too small.

  • Very Good – Alicia from United Kingdom – May 4, 2025 (8/10)

The room was clean and the bed comfy. It is only a 15 min walk to the metro and 2 stops into the city centre. They let me take my bicycle up into the room. Breakfast is simple but fine – omelette, bread, yoghurt, cheese, coffee. The staff were helpful and nice.

What could be improved: I booked an airport transfer to the hotel but it never showed up. There was no hot water on one night. Breakfast isn’t until 9am (maybe this is just on a Sunday)

  • Good – Paraskevi from Greece – April 22, 2025 (7/10)

It was a comfortable room if we take into consideration the low price.

Moreover, we had an update to a double room instead of a room with two single beds that was first assigned to us.

What could be improved: The staff did not speak English at all and they were a little bit "moody" all the time (no smiles at all).

The room has been lacking amenities like a hairdryer etc.

The bathroom did not have a curtain so the whole bathroom was floating after a shower.

The breakfast was quitte poor (just omelette and bread)

  • Exceptional – Ana from United Kingdom – September 1, 2025 (10/10)

    Location, service

  • Exceptional – Bakirov from Georgia – July 31, 2025 (10/10)

It was a very nice hotel. The staff welcomed me very well and gave me very good service. They also served me free wine. I will come back to this hotel as soon as I have the opportunity.
