Tbilisi Story Hotel Overview

Honestly, when I first walked into Tbilisi Story Hotel, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – the name kind of hints at something with character, but you never really know until you’re there. What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to capture that perfect balance between modern comfort and authentic Georgian charm without feeling forced or touristy about it.

The thing about staying in Tbilisi is that the city itself becomes part of your hotel experience, you know? The sounds of the old town filtering through the windows in the morning, the way the light hits those traditional balconies you can see from some of the rooms – it all feels very integrated into the place rather than like you’re just visiting. I actually spent way more time than I planned just hanging out in the common areas because there’s something really welcoming about the atmosphere they’ve created. The staff genuinely seemed to know their city well (not just the typical tourist spots), and I mean, when someone can casually recommend a wine bar that locals actually go to, that tells you something about the place.

What really won me over was the attention to those small details that matter when you’re trying to settle in somewhere new. The Wi-Fi actually works properly – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. The rooms have this lived-in quality that feels comfortable rather than sterile, and honestly, the beds are just really good. I’m picky about that stuff, and I slept better than I expected to. The bathrooms are well thought out too – proper water pressure and space to actually spread out your things. You can tell they’ve put real consideration into what travelers actually need rather than just checking boxes. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense to me because it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone but does what it does really well. If you’re looking for a place that feels connected to the real character of the city but doesn’t sacrifice comfort, this is exactly that kind of spot.

Clean, good location (although do beware of the hill to it, but not a problem for us), strong Wi-Fi and nice staff. Price was fair. We were able to leave our bags and collect them later which was very helpful.

We Really loved the staff, there were very nice. They helped us with our late check in. The big roon was just right, very cozy and good view. Everything was clean and on spot.

  • Albert from United States (8/10)

Newly built, modern hotel. Everything looks nice and clean. There are stunning views of Tbilisi from the rooftop, which has tables for dining and relaxing. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. The check-in process was easy. My room (#303) was spacious, and I really liked its design. The large panoramic window allowed plenty of natural daylight, and I could open part of the window to let in fresh air. The room had plenty of well-placed electrical outlets, which was convenient. The bathroom was nicely designed with a wooden floor and a large shower stall. The bathroom amenities were of good quality and had a pleasant lavender scent. The Wi-Fi was fast. I also appreciated the free late check-out at 14:00, thanks to the sweet front desk girl.
