Tbilisi Marriott Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel on Rustaveli Avenue feels like stepping into the beating heart of Tbilisi. I mean, you’re literally on the city’s main thoroughfare — you can’t get more central than this. The lobby has that polished five-star feel without being intimidating, and honestly, the staff seems genuinely happy to see you. What struck me immediately was how this place manages to feel both international and distinctly Georgian at the same time.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick metro ride away. The Rustaveli Theatre is practically next door, and you can stroll to Freedom Square in about ten minutes. I actually spent most evenings just wandering the avenue — there’s something magical about how it comes alive after dark. The location gets a 9.3 score for good reason, and couples especially seem to love it (they rated it 9.2, which makes total sense when you see how romantic the area becomes at sunset).
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the avenue, and let me tell you, the beds really are as comfortable as everyone says. I’m usually a light sleeper, but something about the combination of quality linens and the gentle hum of the city below knocked me out completely. The bathrooms are spacious — not cramped like some luxury hotels where they sacrifice space for marble. There’s also a work desk that actually works if you need to get things done, though honestly, with views like these, concentration might be challenging.
Dining & Amenities
Breakfast here is worth getting up for, which is saying something when you’re on vacation. They do both American classics and a buffet spread that includes some Georgian touches — the khachapuri alone makes it worthwhile. The restaurant serves solid international cuisine, though I’d recommend venturing out for dinner to explore Tbilisi’s incredible food scene. What I really appreciated was the free private parking — if you’re driving in Georgia, you’ll understand why this is such a relief in the city center.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it gets the fundamentals right while giving you that premium experience you expect from Marriott. The service feels personal rather than corporate, and the location means you’re never more than a few minutes from wherever you want to be. I’ve stayed in fancier places that felt sterile, but there’s something about this spot that makes you feel connected to the city. Whether you’re here for business or exploring Georgia’s capital, you’ll find yourself coming back to a place that feels like a proper home base rather than just somewhere to sleep.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Tbilisi through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s wine culture and architectural heritage.

Reviews of Tbilisi Marriott Hotel
Deborah from New Zealand (9/10)
Staff professionalism, the hotel was grand with great history. 1915 it was the Tbilisi Majestic hotel and in 2006 it became the Marriott Hotel since. A very grand classic architecture hotel for the renaissance era… but still modern and well kept.
Jennifer from United Kingdom (8/10)
This is a very nice hotel, comfortable with nice food.
Farooq from Bahrain (9/10)
Absolutely perfect location, situated on the main thoroughfare in Tbilisi (Rustavelli Avenue) and a short walking distance from many main attractions. The building has an iconic status within the city owing to its history and the building itself has great character with a beautiful courtyard and impressive interior.
