Tbilisi Marriott Hotel Overview
I’ve stayed at plenty of five-star hotels in my travels, but the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel actually surprised me in ways I wasn’t expecting. First thing you notice when you walk in – and I mean this literally stopped me in my tracks – is this gorgeous atrium lobby with this dramatic glass ceiling that floods everything with natural light. It’s one of those spaces where you immediately feel like you’ve stepped up a level, you know? The whole place has this sophisticated vibe that somehow doesn’t feel stuffy or intimidating, which honestly can be hit or miss with international hotel chains.
What really got me though was how well they’ve managed to blend that polished Marriott standard with genuine Georgian hospitality. The staff – and I’m talking everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team – they actually seem to care about making your stay memorable rather than just checking boxes. I remember chatting with one of the concierges about where to find the best khachapuri in Tbilisi (because let’s be real, that’s crucial information), and she didn’t just rattle off the usual tourist spots. She gave me this whole rundown of her grandmother’s favorite bakery and even drew me a little map on hotel stationary. Those are the moments that stick with you.
The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d hope for – spacious, impeccably clean, with those crisp white linens that somehow always feel perfect no matter how many people have slept in them before you. But here’s what I really appreciated: the windows are properly soundproofed. Tbilisi can get pretty lively, especially on weekends, and there’s nothing worse than trying to recover from a day of exploring the Old Town only to be kept awake by street noise. The bathrooms are particularly well done – marble everything, rainfall showers that actually have decent pressure, and enough counter space that you’re not playing Tetris with your toiletries. I mean, it sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many supposedly luxury hotels mess this up. The location puts you right in the heart of everything without feeling overwhelmed by crowds, and honestly, after spending weeks in smaller guesthouses and boutique places throughout Georgia, having access to a proper fitness center and room service felt like absolute luxury. It’s the kind of place where you can base yourself comfortably while diving deep into Georgian culture, then come back to reliable comfort at the end of each day.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Tbilisi through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s wine culture and architectural heritage.

Reviews of Tbilisi Marriott Hotel
Deborah from New Zealand (9/10)
Staff professionalism, the hotel was grand with great history. 1915 it was the Tbilisi Majestic hotel and in 2006 it became the Marriott Hotel since. A very grand classic architecture hotel for the renaissance era… but still modern and well kept.
Jennifer from United Kingdom (8/10)
This is a very nice hotel, comfortable with nice food.
Farooq from Bahrain (9/10)
Absolutely perfect location, situated on the main thoroughfare in Tbilisi (Rustavelli Avenue) and a short walking distance from many main attractions. The building has an iconic status within the city owing to its history and the building itself has great character with a beautiful courtyard and impressive interior.
