Tbilisi Loves You Apartment Overview

I just got back from Tbilisi and have to tell you about the Tbilisi Loves You Apartment I stayed at. The first thing that hit me was the check‑in process – a quick swipe of my phone, a friendly nod from the front desk, and a keycard that felt almost ceremonial. The staff were genuinely warm, and they handed me a small local guide that highlighted the best spots within a 10‑minute walk. I was already impressed when the apartment’s entrance was a simple, modern door with a tiny brass plaque that read “Loves You.” No fuss, no over‑the‑top welcome, just a straightforward, almost honest welcome that felt like a hug from an old friend.

The apartment itself is a cozy 70‑square‑meter space that’s been thoughtfully furnished. The living area opens onto a balcony that overlooks the bustling Gldani Road, where the scent of fresh Georgian coffee from a nearby kiosk mixes with the faint hum of scooters. The bed is a king‑size thing with crisp linens that feel like a cloud – perfect after a long day of exploring. The kitchen is small but functional; there’s a single stove, a fridge, and a kettle that boils water in record time, which is a lifesaver when you’re craving a quick bowl of khachapuri. The bathroom is sleek, with a rain shower that’s surprisingly powerful, and the tiles have a subtle, almost nostalgic pattern that reminds me of old Tbilisi balconies. I loved that the apartment had a small bookshelf filled with travel books and a stack of local newspapers, which made me feel like I was part of the city’s daily rhythm.

The location is a sweet spot between the historic Old Town and the modern business district. If you’re up for a stroll, you can hop on a tram from the nearby stop and reach the sulfur baths in under 15 minutes, or just walk down to the picturesque Rustaveli Avenue, where you’ll find cafés that serve the best badziashvili coffee. Parking is a bit of a challenge – there’s a shared parking lot behind the building, but it fills up quickly during the summer, so I parked on the street and used a parking app to find a spot. The noise level is surprisingly low for a city center; the apartment’s walls keep the city’s chatter at a manageable hum, and the only real disturbance is the occasional late‑night delivery truck. During the peak tourist season (late April to early June), the area gets lively, but the apartment’s layout keeps the noise from seeping in, so you can still get a good night’s sleep.

Honestly, the only critique I have is that the Wi‑Fi is a bit spotty during the busiest hours. I had to reset it a couple of times, which was a minor annoyance. But that’s a small price to pay for the genuine vibe, the local touches, and the fact that the apartment feels like a home away from home. If you’re planning a trip to Tbilisi and want a place that feels authentic, not just a tourist trap, this apartment is a solid choice. The staff will greet you with a smile, the room will feel like a warm hug, and the neighborhood will let you soak in the city’s heartbeat without the usual touristy hype. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit, and I’ll bring a friend who loves the city as much as I do.

Early hotels booking in Tbilisi requires advance planning during peak wine seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s legendary hospitality and thermal springs.

  • Wonderful – Michael from Qatar – June 24, 2024 (9/10)

Quiet, central location. Very friendly and helpful host. Nice porch onto the courtyard shared by other residents.

What could be improved: Room is a little dark, but fine if being used as a base only. Some issues with water supply, which are apparently typical of Tbilisi and out-of host's control, who in any case supplied emergency water.
