The Wi-Fi worked consistently too, which was crucial since I was mixing some work with vacation.

Honestly, the location works really well if you want to explore the real city. You’re not right in the middle of the main tourist strip, but that’s actually a good thing – it means you can walk to authentic restaurants and cafes without dealing with inflated prices and crowds of tour groups. I found this amazing khachapuri place just a few blocks away that locals were lining up for (always a good sign). The hotel’s front desk folks were surprisingly knowledgeable about the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward a traditional bathhouse that wasn’t in any of my guidebooks but turned out to be incredible. Check-in was smooth, no hassles, and they stored my luggage without any fuss when I arrived early. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it gets the fundamentals right and adds just enough personality to feel distinctly Georgian rather than like some international chain that could be anywhere. If you’re looking for a solid base to explore the city without breaking the bank or dealing with tourist trap nonsense, this place delivers.

  Really liked the staff and the breakfast was good enough. The swimming pool and sauna were great as well. The room was big and the balcony with a beautiful sight to the mountains. Air conditioning worked really well and room was cleaned almost every day. We really enjoyed our trip to Tbilisi, could come back some day.
