Tbilisi Apartment 2 Overview
I found myself in Tbilisi, strolling down the cobblestones of Anton Purtseladze Street when the building of Tbilisi Apartment 2 caught my eye. The façade is a charming mix of old Georgian timber framing and modern glass panels, and the lobby feels more like a well‑curated living room than a typical hotel entrance. When I checked in, the staff were quick to hand over a keycard with a smile, though the first tap on the terminal gave me a little “beep” that sounded like a broken record—just a minor glitch that the staff fixed within a minute. The apartment itself is spacious, with a loft‑style living area that opens onto a balcony offering a panoramic view of Mtatsminda’s hills. The décor is intentionally local: hand‑woven rugs, stone accents, and a small library of Georgian literature that you can’t find in a chain hotel. I mean, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home, not just a place to sleep.
The real magic happens when you step outside. The street smells like fresh khachapuri baking in a nearby bakery, and you can hear the distant chatter of vendors hawking oranges and roasted chestnuts. There’s a small parking lot right next to the building, but it’s a paid space that usually fills up early in the afternoon—so if you’re a driver, you’ll need to arrive a bit earlier or look for a street spot. Noise-wise, Mtatsminda gets its fair share of late‑night traffic, but the apartment’s double‑paned windows do a decent job of muffling the city’s hum. I found myself sipping tea at 2 a.m. while the streetlights flickered and the distant sound of a church choir drifted through the air—an oddly comforting soundtrack.
As for the surrounding area, you’re right in the heart of the Old Town. The National Theatre is just a five‑minute stroll, and if you’re up for a quick climb, the Mtatsminda Funicular takes you to the park with a breathtaking view of the entire city. Locals often recommend the nearby Tbilisi Opera House for a performance, or the Sioni Cathedral for a quiet moment of reflection. There are plenty of coffee shops and bakeries within walking distance—my favorite was a small café that served the best melomakarona I’ve ever tasted. The only critique? The Wi‑Fi speed could use some improvement, especially when streaming during the day, but for most travelers, that’s a minor inconvenience.
Overall, Tbilisi Apartment 2 feels like a hidden gem that offers the comfort of a home with the convenience of a boutique hotel. The 9.7 rating speaks to the consistency of the experience, and it’s easy to see why—friendly staff, thoughtful touches, and a location that’s both central and charming. I honestly would return, especially during the quieter months when the city’s pace slows down, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to dive into the authentic vibe of Tbilisi without the corporate feel of a big chain. The apartment is perfect for travelers who want to explore on their own terms, yet still have a cozy place to unwind at the end of the day.
To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

The host is very pleasant. The apartment is situated in the old city, and very close to all sightseeing.
Exceptional – Ilia from Denmark – May 24, 2025 (10/10)
Excellent location, a beautiful courtyard, a place with a Tbilisi vibe!
The place is cozy and big giving a real home vibes. Making it a perfect place to stay after a tiring day from the tours. – Santos from United Arab Emirates – February 20, 2025 (9/10)
The location is nearby tourist spots (walking distance to parks, cafes, and restaurants) Helen is also nice and accommodating. She waited for our arrival even late check in at night. She even prepared turkish coffee for us which is lovely.
Great place in the center – Toni from Germany – February 11, 2025 (10/10)
This apartment is very conveniently located near Liberty Square in the center of Tibilisi. It's next to many of the important museums, a big mall, many restaurants and café, and you can walk to everywhere in the old town from here. It's located on a ground floor of a quiet backyard. The kitchen has got everything that is needed, the apartment is very clean and spacious enough for a couple. I also needed to work from there, which was not a problem because the Wifi was good. The host is exceptionally friendly, helpful and always available as she lives in the same building, also for the check-in and check-out. Being able to meet the host gives a personal vibe to the experience that I really appreciated.
Kind host & perfect Appartment for the few day’s stay – Yuliya from Switzerland – January 27, 2025 (9/10)
Thé location is perfect. Close to the all famous museums and downtown. It is very quiet and cosy Appartment.
What could be improved: The water in the bathroom did not drain well, but apparently this is a problem everywhereAmazing, cozy and excellent – Akash from India – December 15, 2024 (9/10)
Helen the host of the property is very gentle and kind woman. The property is at excellent location, beside Liberty square. Very good, clean, cozy and comfortable apartment.
We added this place as primary location for accommodation in this lovely city – Denis from Israel – September 21, 2024 (10/10)
1) even though we arrived late – 1 am. The apartment owner waited for us and personally handed over the keys. The service is excellent.
2) The large apartment can accommodate a large family with 3-4 children. All the necessary equipment is available. The apartment was cleaned every day. Welcome, drink in the refrigerator. Cards for travel on public transport and other useful things. Toothbrushes, shampoo, and soap according to the number of guests. The feeling that you live in a hotel, not an apartment.
3) Excellent location – 5 minutes walk to all the attractions. Cozy quiet courtyard.
What could be improved: a small complaint about the drain in the bathroom – the ability to raise and lower the flap did not work – we did it manually. for us, it was not critical
Don't let children lock the apartment from the inside with a latch – only with a key. The latch is difficult to open if you are a child – my 14-year-old daughter couldn't open the door for us – I had to enter the house through the window on the first day – it was not difficult, apartment on the ground floor.Overall, this place offers everything you could want for a short-term stay—comfort, convenience, and exceptional service – Gulrez from United Arab Emirates – August 14, 2024 (10/10)
**Wonderful Stay with Excellent Amenities and Service**
We ( family) had an amazing experience during my recent stay at this apartment. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the host “ Ms. Helen”stood out—She was incredibly welcoming and kind, helped us in parking our car in private yard, making sure all our needs were met throughout my stay.
The place was exceptionally clean, with attention to detail that truly enhanced the overall comfort. All the daily necessities were readily available, making it easy to settle in and enjoy my time.
One of the standout features was the private parking, which was not only convenient but also added a sense of security. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with all the major tourist attractions just a short / walking distance away( liberty square, old bazaar, peace bridge, cable car, carrefour super market Galleria mall etc..Clean, comfortable and quiet apartment in central location. – Eduardsr from Latvia – March 20, 2024 (10/10)
Cleanliness, friendly hostess.
Great central location yet quiet courtyard.
What could be improved: Down pillows would be a nice addition. Will go back and look just for this place! – Shawn from Qatar – January 1, 2024 (10/10)
The host was so kind and understanding, and came every day to clean. I never felt insecure or out of touch with her. The area is close to food, coffee, shopping, ALL the museums, rustavelli avenue, in minutes walking: 10 minutes from the tourist area, 15 from the natural baths, 5 minutes from New Tiflis (or less), 5 minutes from Carrefour, 5 minutes from Orbellani square (or less) and other parks, a taxi was never more than a minute away, but also it was on a side street with comparative privacy and little traffic. It was also about ten minutes walk from the dry bridge. 🙂 It was on the ground floor so you just have to walk outside if you want to smoke. Easy to cook, clean clothes, bathe, or whatever. Best value dollar for dollar I have had in my MANY visits to Tbilisi. 🙂 The property also came with a small, affectionate, slightly fat, slightly dirty cat who stayed nearby and came to say hello every time you came home :). I hope someone takes care of her.
What could be improved: The front door.
