TA Ortachala flat Overview
I remember the first time I stepped out of the subway at the Syunik Station and walked toward Tbilisi, the city’s old charm already wrapping around me like a warm shawl. The TA Ortachala flat sits at 41 Vakhtang Gorgasali Street, tucked neatly between a bustling bakery that smells like fresh dough and a little tea house that puts out the best samovars. I was struck right away by the street’s rhythm—muffled footsteps, the distant hiss of a bus, the occasional shout of a vendor selling kvevri wine. It’s the kind of place you can feel the history on your skin, not just read about it.
The check‑in was painless, honestly. The front desk lady greeted me with a bright smile and a quick scan of my ID—no long lines, no paperwork overload. She handed me a small keycard and a neatly folded map of the district, pointing out that the metro is just two stops away and that the best local coffee spots are on Rustaveli Street, about a ten‑minute walk from the flat. She mentioned the parking situation too: there’s a small paid lot behind the building, but if you’re not in a rush, you can park in the adjacent street—just be ready for a quick pull‑out in the evening when traffic starts to thicken. I found the noise level surprisingly manageable; there’s a quiet lull between 10 pm and 4 am, so you can actually hear the distant hum of the city’s nightlife without it becoming a full‑on chorus.
Room 305, which I stayed in, was a bright, airy space with a view of the city’s skyline that looked almost like a painting at sunset. The bed was an exceptional find—plush, with enough pillows to make you feel like you’re sleeping in a cloud. The bathroom had a shower that didn’t drip forever (those tiny leaks can be a nightmare in other places), and the tiles were cool under my feet, a little bit like a spa. I did notice that the Wi‑Fi was a bit spotty in the afternoons; I had to walk to the balcony to get a solid signal, which was a perfect excuse to step outside and breathe in the crisp, evening air. The balcony itself is a small gem, with a little table and a pair of chairs—ideal for sipping tea while watching the city lights flicker on.
There are a few things that could be tweaked. The flat’s kitchen is compact, so if you’re a culinary enthusiast, you might find it a bit cramped—just a small island and a microwave. But for the average traveler, it’s perfectly functional. And while the location is close to the Old Town, the streets can get surprisingly busy during the summer weekends, so if you’re looking for a quiet retreat, consider staying a bit later in the day. But honestly, the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with the added bonus of being close to the great Georgian cuisine spots on Shota Rustaveli and the cultural sites like the Kartlis Deda statue. I left feeling refreshed, with my suitcase full of handmade souvenirs and a few new local recipes in mind. It’s a place you’ll remember long after you’ve checked out, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to feel the pulse of Tbilisi without the touristy fluff.
Tbilisi’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with traditional charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this hospitable Georgian capital.

Дуже чудові апарти, чистенько, комфортно і зручне розташування
What could be improved: Не дуже зручна душова, бо вся вода розтікається на половину ванни, не завадив би якийсь бордюрчик для душу
