Super apartment On Saiatnova #2 Overview
I recently spent a weekend in Tbilisi, and this place turned out to be a hidden gem that you’d almost skip if you only followed the glossy brochures. The building is a typical Georgian tenement, not a skyscraper, and you’re greeted by a polished marble foyer that’s small but surprisingly bright – you feel like you’re stepping into a new chapter of the city instead of just another apartment. Check‑in was pretty straightforward, though the front desk did ask for a bit of ID proof – nothing fancy, but the staff were friendly and gave you a quick rundown of the Wi‑Fi and how the heating works. They even handed you a small bottle of local wine as a welcome, which was a nice touch.
Once you’re inside, the apartment feels like a cozy nest. The living area is a bit cramped – I mean, it’s a single room layout, but the couch is actually very comfortable, and the large windows let in enough light that you can see the street below without feeling claustrophobic. The kitchen is surprisingly functional: there’s a decent stove, a fridge, and plenty of counter space. A small note: the sink area is a bit tight, so if you’re used to a big island, you might miss that. The bathroom is modest – one shower, a small sink, and a toilet that’s a bit older than the rest of the place, but it’s clean. The bed is a queen with a mattress that’s super supportive, and the linens feel like a cheap hotel, but honestly, they’re clean and fresh.
Sound-wise, the building is pretty quiet, but you’ll still hear the occasional traffic from the nearby Arutin Saiatnova Street – the main thoroughfare that locals call “the artery” of the city. I remember hearing the clatter of the tram and the distant shout of a vendor selling khachapuri. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s worth noting that the upstairs neighbors are often loud, especially if the apartment is near the back of the building. Parking can be a bit of a hassle; there’s a small paid lot a block away, but you can also find street parking if you’re willing to walk a few minutes. I found it convenient enough for a short weekend, but if you’re staying longer, you might want to check the local parking regulations – there’s a weekly permit system that can be a bit confusing for tourists.
The location is a real advantage if you’re exploring the Old Town on foot. From the apartment, you can walk to Metekhi Church, the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, and even the dry‑cleaning shop that’s been there since the Soviet era (yes, I still remember the smell of old perfume and detergent). For those who love coffee, there’s a quirky

Great location
Host was was available for any questionGood stay – Brieuc from Armenia – June 17, 2024 (6/10)
It has a great balcony on the ground floor, which we enjoyed a lot. The bedroom is also very pleasant. Overall the apartment is quite modern-looking. The location is good for tourists but be aware that it will be hard for taxis to navigate until the exact location of the apartment.
What could be improved: The shower was clogged unfortunately which made it a bit annoying to shower one after another as the bathroom was filled with water. There could be two cooking stoves that would help for cooking. The biggest shortcoming for us what the lack of windows apart from the bedroom. This made the lighting in the kitchen and other rooms less pleasant.מעולה – דני from Israel – April 2, 2025 (9/10)
