Sunny Apartment Tbilisi Overview

I arrived at Sunnybilisi on a bright Monday morning, the kind of day that makes you feel like you’re about to discover something new. The building itself is a modest four‑storey block on Pekini Avenue in Saburtalo – not the most glamorous spot, but the façade is clean, the paint fresh, and the front door has that reassuring little metal handle that feels like it’s been used by generations. Checking in was surprisingly quick: the front desk clerk, a young man named Lasha, greeted me with a warm smile, asked for my ID, and handed me a keycard that flickered to life the moment I slid it into the reader. He mentioned that the check‑in window opens at 3 pm, but if you’re early, you can just leave your bags in the lobby, and he’ll let you unpack at your convenience. (Honestly, that’s the kind of small kindness that turns a good stay into a great one.)

The apartment itself is a charming blend of modern comfort and Georgian touches. The living area is spacious, with a sofa that’s soft enough to sink into after a long day of sightseeing, and a flat‑screen TV that comes with a handful of local channels – I watched the local news for a few minutes and heard the odd beeping of a taxi honk in the background. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped: a compact fridge, a stove with a coal‑fired grill (yes, the Georgian tradition still lives here), and a coffee maker that smokes a rich, nutty aroma when you brew a fresh pot. I appreciated the small details like a set of hand‑woven kitchen towels that smelled faintly of lavender, and a bottle of local honey that made a perfect sweetener for tea. The bathroom is clean, with a rain shower that feels decent enough for a quick rinse, though the water pressure is a tad weak compared to the high‑rise hotels I’ve stayed at in other cities. The bed is a king‑size, and the linens are crisp, giving the whole room a fresh, airy feel. The windows face a quiet corner of the block, so you hear the distant rumble of traffic and the occasional chirp of a pigeon – not a problem at all.

Outside, the neighborhood is a slice of everyday Tbilisi. Take a short walk down Pekini Avenue, and you’ll find a handful of cafés that locals swear by – I stopped at Café Kinez for brunch, where the khachapuri was buttery and the espresso hit just right. A few blocks over, there’s a small park with a fountain that’s a favorite spot for people to relax in the afternoons; I remember hearing the soft splash of water and the distant chatter of children playing. If you’re looking to explore the city’s historic side, a 15‑minute walk will take you to the old town, where you can wander through the narrow alleys, admire the stone balconies, and maybe grab a souvenir from a street vendor selling handcrafted apricots. Parking is a bit of a hassle – there’s no dedicated parking at the building, but there are a few street spots a few blocks away, and the city’s free parking zones are well marked. Noise is generally manageable; the apartment is on the top floor, so the city’s hum is a distant murmur, especially after 10 pm. I did notice a slight creak in the floorboards at night, but it’s nothing disruptive. All in all, Sunny Apartment T let me experience the

Reviews of Sunny Apartment Tbilisi

– Namazova from Russia – August 28, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved:

  • Very Good – Алейникова from Russia – June 20, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved:

  • Wonderful – Асель from Kazakhstan – October 17, 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved:

  • Exceptional – Арсений from Russia – September 22, 2024 (10/10)

  • Wonderful – Joel from France – August 14, 2024 (9/10)

– Olga from Russia – August 6, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved:
