Stylish Central Apartment in TbilisiGreat Location Overview
When I stepped off the bus at the Chugureti stop, the first thing that hit me was the buzz of Tbilisi—the city’s heartbeat pulsing through the narrow streets, the scent of fresh khachapuri wafting from a nearby bakery, and the unmistakable hum of the metro line that runs right past the hotel’s building. The check‑in was surprisingly quick; the front desk clerk, a cheerful woman named Liza, greeted me with a warm smile and handed over a QR code for the keyless entry, so I could skip the long lines of other travelers. I park my bike under the small but tidy parking rack outside the building—no hidden fees, which is a relief in a city where parking can be a nightmare. The lobby is compact but cozy, with a few mismatched chairs that feel like they’ve seen a lot of history. The only slightly awkward thing was the ceiling fan; it whirring softly while I unfolded my suitcase, a faint reminder that the place still retains a bit of that old Soviet charm.
Inside the apartment, the décor is a blend of modern minimalism and Georgian eclectic flair. The living area opens onto a balcony that gives you a panoramic view of Maksim Gorki Street—there’s an old sign for a 1960s cinema that still hangs above the balcony door, a little piece of nostalgia that you can’t miss. The kitchen is fully equipped: a stainless steel fridge, a gas stove, and even a small tea kettle that whirs when I’m waiting for my green tea to steep. I found that the Wi‑Fi speed was spot‑on, which is essential because I have to catch up on a few emails before heading out to see the Metekhi Church. The bed is surprisingly comfortable, with a thick duvet that feels like a blanket of cloud. The bathroom has a rain shower that’s a bit on the small side, but the water pressure is consistent, and the tiles are a warm, earthy tone that doesn’t feel too sterile. The only thing that caught my attention was the lack of a built‑in coffee maker; but hey, there’s a café just a two‑minute walk away that serves the best instant coffee in town.
After settling in, I ventured out to explore the neighborhood. The nearest metro station is a short walk to the left, and the stop is marked by a bright, neon sign that reads “Maksim Gorki.” Right across the street, there’s a tiny market where locals sell fresh apricots and homemade cheese—perfect for a quick snack. For lunch, I headed to a tucked‑away bistro that serves khinkali and local wine; the staff were friendly, and the broth was rich enough to make you forget that the city’s traffic can be unpredictable. In the afternoon, I took a leisurely stroll along the Abanotubani sulfur baths, the steam rising like a veil over the ancient stone. The noise level in the apartment was surprisingly low, even during the busy summer season, which made it easy to enjoy a quiet evening of reading or a late‑night TV binge. The only critique I have is that the apartment’s heating system can be a bit uneven in the winter months; I had to bring an extra blanket just in case. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a blend of authentic Georgian vibes and modern convenience, with a dash of city life right outside your door. The 9.3 rating is well deserved, and I’ll definitely be back for another stay when I return to this lively, historic city.

Everything is great, except from the sofa.
What could be improved: It is uncomfortable to sleep on the sofa.
There is no microwave there.
What could be improved: Есть небольшие минусы.
1. Во время моего присутствия диван нельзя было разложить т. к. не работал механизм. Хозяин обещал исправить😉
2. Квартира находится во дворе, где живёт дворовая собака. Днем она спит, ночью она охраняет свой двор и громко лает. Для людей, которые боятся собак это может быть проблемой.Exceptional – Eduard from Armenia – August 5, 2025 (10/10)
