The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance that actually makes you want to hang out there with a coffee or glass of wine. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing too, which shows in those little details that matter when you’re tired from traveling. Check-in was smooth (no awkward waiting around), and they actually remembered my name the next morning – small thing, but it made a difference.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create distinct personality in each space without it feeling chaotic or overdone. The rooms have character – real character, not just throw pillows and generic art. Mine had this perfect reading nook by the window that I actually used, plus one of those bathrooms where you can tell someone put thought into the lighting (you know how harsh most hotel bathroom lights are). The bed situation was spot-on too – firm enough that you don’t sink into oblivion but comfortable enough that I slept better than I do at home, honestly. And the blackout curtains actually work, which seems obvious but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.

I will say, if you’re the type who needs a massive gym or expects a full concierge desk, this might not be your speed. It’s more about doing the essentials really well rather than trying to be everything to everyone. But that 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s the kind of place where everything from the morning coffee (which is actually good, not just hotel coffee) to the evening turndown service feels intentional. The whole experience just flows smoothly, and you leave feeling like you discovered something special rather than just booked another room for the night.

  Very good hotel. Best area of the city near bus station. Not the old city but 3 minutes walking from the most beautiful park in the city.
