Shota’s Overview
I just stayed at Shota’s, a solid 4‑star place right on Bidzina Kvernadze Street in Tbilisi. The moment I hit the lobby, the hallway smell of fresh coffee and a faint hint of incense made me feel like I’d stepped into a modern Georgian home. Check‑in was quick – there was a friendly front desk clerk who spoke a little English and pointed me to the elevator that, honestly, was a bit squeaky but still got me to the 8th floor in less than a minute. The key card was provided with a card that had a little map of the city printed on it – nice touch for tourists who might not be familiar with the 0162 postal code.
The room itself is spacious with a large, queen‑size bed that has a firmer mattress than I expected for a 4‑star hotel. The bedding was crisp, and the pillows were fluffy but not overly soft – perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day. I had to mention the bathroom, though – the shower has a great water pressure, but the tiles are a bit old around the corners. I mean, you can spot a few cracks after a week of use, but the hotel had a quick fix kit ready, so it wasn’t a major issue. The desk had a small lamp that gave off a warm glow, and the windows looked out onto the bustling Saburtalo neighborhood, where you can hear the distant hum of traffic and the occasional shout from a street vendor selling khachapuri. In terms of noise, it’s a bit on the louder side during the day – which is to be expected in a city that’s always a bit busy – but you can still hear the calm of the evening.
What I really liked was the little corner of the hotel that’s actually a mini café on the ground floor. They serve a decent coffee, and you can sit on a patio that’s shaded by a palm tree (yes, Tbilisi does have palms in the summer). I also took advantage of the free Wi‑Fi, which is very stable, and there were charging ports in the hallway. Parking, if you’re driving, is the trickiest part – the hotel doesn’t have a dedicated lot, but there are a few public lots a block away that are reasonably priced. I found a spot in the Saburtalo Square parking, which is about a 5‑minute walk to the hotel. The hotel staff did a good job explaining how to navigate the parking system, which honestly saved me a lot of time. All in all, Shota’s is a comfortable, mid‑range spot that feels more like a local’s choice than a hotel chain, and it’s a solid base if you want to explore Tbilisi’s nightlife or just relax after a day of sightseeing.

Comfortable apartment with amazing view – Jayedith from Canada – June 23, 2025 (10/10)
Shota was very hospitable, and the apartment is true to the photos.
The host is very easy to communicate with, and eager to make sure that your stay will be amazing. You can ask for help with anything. The view is amazing, the apartment is fully equipped for long stays, with adequate storage. The location is also perfect – close to metro, stores, and cafes. Everything worked well.
My favourite thing was the massive smart TV.
What could be improved: The mattress is an orthopedic one, which was too firm for my personal preference – but I know of course there are people who enjoy a firm bed.Perfect 👌 – Mindiashvili from United States – May 16, 2025 (10/10)
Apartment is perfect for any type of guest because it located business center of Tbilisi and everything what you may need is here.
I recommend it for as a business trip and also for those looking for entertainment or just for leisure.Exceptional – Liron from Israel – January 4, 2025 (10/10)

I enjoyed staying at Shota's. – Haya from Israel – July 7, 2024 (9/10)
Very nice appartment, big rooms, great bathroom, nice kitchen, big dining table, big flat tv, great sofa, location in the center, city and surrounding view, close to everything
What could be improved: problems with one of the 2 elevators. 1 aircondition in the living room, no airconditoning in the bedroom.
to get the key I had to come to the apartment, but need a key to the elevator… you have to call the person with the keysTaking all the positive and negative aspects into account, everything is not bad at all – Ruslan from Russia – August 6, 2025 (8/10)
Overall, I had a very positive stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The beds were cozy, the air conditioning (two split systems) worked perfectly, and the location was excellent. I was truly satisfied with the apartment itself — no complaints at all.

Unfortunately, the check-in process left a less pleasant impression.
Upon arrival, I was met by two very young individuals (seemingly underage) who collected the payment but did not provide any receipt or confirmation. A few minutes later, they returned with a phone, saying the owner was on the line, and requested an additional 100 GEL as a refundable deposit. I politely declined to pay the deposit, as it had not been mentioned or agreed upon during the booking process. Introducing unexpected charges at check-in — especially through intermediaries — felt unprofessional and confusing.
Additionally, I was made to feel uncomfortable by the level of suspicion shown toward me. When my brother briefly accompanied me — without luggage or intention to stay — I received messages from the owner implying that I might be hiding an extra guest and warning that there would be consequences. This assumption felt unfair. If I had intended to conceal something, I would not have introduced my brother openly to the people handing over the keys. Moreover, he lives nearby and was simply there to help me check in.
That said, I do understand that the hosts may be young entrepreneurs still gaining experience in hospitality. I respect the effort they’ve put into creating such a nice apartment. With just a bit more attention to professionalism, communication, and trust in their guests, I truly believe they can bring their service up to the same high standard as the accommodation itself.
I sincerely hope my feedback is received in a constructive spirit — and that it helps them grow what is already a very promising setup.Exceptional – Lilya from Georgia – October 3, 2024 (10/10)
