Rustaveli Residence III Overview

In Tbilisi, I found myself in the quieter Mtatsminda district, where the streets are narrow and the smell of fresh dough from a bakery lingers in the air. The Rustaveli Residence III sits right on Taras Shevchenko Street, a block away from the bustling Rustaveli Avenue, yet the buzz of the city is muted by the hill’s gentle slope. The check‑in was a breeze – the front desk staff greeted me with a friendly “good morning” and handed over the keycard in a single, efficient swipe, no long lines, and the quiet hum of the elevator set a surprisingly calm tone for the day. I was given a map that lists nearby stops: the fun‑filled Mtatsminda Park, the old‑school Tbilisi Zoo, and the historic Sioni Cathedral, all within a ten‑minute walk. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt; the street is narrow, but the hotel offers a small secure lot right behind the building, and the attendant will slot you in if you show the keycard. I parked there and it was a relief, because traffic on the main road can get pretty noisy at rush hour, but the lot’s covered entrance keeps my bag dry and my phone from ringing off the hook.

The rooms themselves are a cozy blend of modern amenities and local charm. The bed feels like a cloud, and the linens are soft enough to make you want to stay in the middle of the night. The bathroom is spotless, with a rain shower that reminds me of the misty mornings on the Mtkvari River. I was able to switch the TV to a local channel; the news was a soft soundtrack to the city’s night sounds. For breakfast, the kitchen counter is stocked with fresh Georgian pastries – a sweet khachapuri that melts in your mouth, and a strong black tea that warms you from the inside out. I sat by the window and watched the city lights flicker; the sound of distant traffic and a choir of pigeons outside made the scene feel authentically Georgian.

If you’re planning a visit in the spring or early summer, expect crowds near the nearby Sioni Cathedral, which turns into a hive of tourists and locals alike. During the quieter winter months, the building’s old stone walls echo the muffled creaks of the wind, and you can hear the distant

  • Exceptional – Anastasia from Greece – December 19, 2024 (10/10)

Definitely the best place we stayed in Georgia and we stayed in a lot of places. The unit was very comfortable and well equipped. The host was flexible with checking us in at 4AM based on our delayed flight.
During your stay in this apartment, if you need, either an extra bed or crib for you baby or airport shuttle service, the staff is always ready to arrange it for you within minutes, without any problem.

  • Perfect Stay !!! – Polina from Belarus – August 17, 2024 (10/10)

Giorgi is a fantastic host. He gave me lots of tips on how to spend my time in the most useful way in Tbilisi. I enjoyed it very much, especially the balcony with a view to drink my coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening! It was the best value apartment I have ever stayed in. For sure I will come back and stay again.
