Royal Inn Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to the Royal Inn on Kurdiani Street, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property knows what it’s doing. The building has that solid, reassuring feel — not flashy, but well-maintained in a way that suggests they actually care about the details. I mean, you’re in Chugureti, which honestly might not sound familiar if you’re new to Tbilisi, but trust me on this — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals will nod approvingly about when you mention staying there.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to everything that matters without being stuck in the tourist chaos. Chugureti has this authentic Georgian vibe that you just don’t get in some of the more obvious hotel districts. The area feels lived-in, you know? You’ll find small cafes where locals actually hang out, and the walk to Old Town takes maybe 15 minutes if you’re not in a rush. Plus, there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that couples consistently rate 9.0 for location — that kind of feedback doesn’t happen by accident.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid four-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without trying too hard to impress. The beds are actually good (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What really worked for me was how quiet everything felt once you closed the door — given that you’re in a city center, that’s not always guaranteed. The bathrooms are modern enough, and honestly, after a long day of exploring Tbilisi’s hills, you just want hot water and decent water pressure, which they definitely deliver.
Morning Routine
Breakfast here is one of those continental and buffet setups that could go either way, but they actually do it well. There’s a good mix of Georgian specialties alongside the standard international options — I appreciated being able to try some local cheese and bread varieties without having to venture out first thing in the morning. The coffee’s decent too, which matters more than people realize when you’re planning a full day of sightseeing. The dining area gets good light, and there’s usually a relaxed pace that lets you ease into the day properly.
Why Guests Love It
Look, the 8.8 rating tells most of the story, but what really stands out is how this place handles the fundamentals without any fuss. Free parking is genuinely helpful if you’re driving (and not always easy to find in this part of town), the staff seems to know what they’re doing, and everything just works the way it should. You’re not paying for unnecessary extras, but you’re also not compromising on the things that actually matter for a comfortable stay. For the location alone — being in what’s genuinely considered the best-rated area in Tbilisi — it’s hard to argue with the value proposition here.
To book hotel in Tbilisi during the famous Tbilisi Jazz Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts wine enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

The hotel was perfectly clean and so beautiful. Everything is new, there is everything you need in the room (bottled water, toothbrushes). Breakfast is good and tasty. The hotel is located in the city centre, but it's quiet and cozy.

A buffet breakfast provided in a very pleasant room. Good standard, This hotel is not just clean; it's spotless. Very impressed. Lovely bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Nice quiet room. The hotel location is very good, in a nice area with plenty of shops and eating places. To the heart of Tbilisi however it is about 30 minutes walk.
