The building sits perfectly positioned in one of Tbilisi’s most charming neighborhoods, and honestly, the name isn’t just marketing — you actually do get those promised river views from many rooms. What struck me first was how the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive, not that forced hospitality you sometimes encounter. The lobby feels welcoming without trying too hard, and there’s this relaxed energy that makes you want to drop your bags and start exploring the city right away.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re close enough to Old Town that you can walk there in about ten minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your door. Artur Laisti Street itself is lined with those beautiful Tbilisi balconies, and there are several excellent local restaurants within a couple blocks that most visitors never discover. The area feels authentically Georgian, you know what I mean? Plus, couples consistently rate this location highly (around 9.3 apparently), and I can see why — it’s romantic without being overly touristy, and perfect for evening strolls along the river.

Rooms That Actually Deliver

The rooms at River View manage to feel both modern and respectfully Georgian at the same time. Mine had a partial river view — not dramatic, but pleasant enough that I found myself checking it throughout the day. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — proper reading lights, enough outlets for your devices, and blackout curtains that actually work. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully laid out so nothing feels cramped.

Practical Perks

One thing that immediately makes this place more appealing — they offer free parking, which is honestly a godsend in Tbilisi where finding a decent parking spot can be a real headache. The staff speaks excellent English and seems to genuinely know the city well, so their restaurant recommendations are actually worth following. I mean, they steered me toward this incredible khachapuri place that I never would have found on my own. The hotel also handles logistics smoothly — airport transfers, tour bookings, that sort of thing — without making you feel like they’re just trying to upsell you.

With a 9.8 rating, River View clearly does something right, and after staying there, I think it comes down to consistency and authenticity. This isn’t trying to be the fanciest hotel in Tbilisi — it’s trying to be a really good one, and it succeeds. The location gives you easy access to both the historic sites and the real Tbilisi that locals actually live in. The service feels personal rather than corporate, and the whole experience just works without any major frustrations. For the price point, especially considering that free parking and the prime location, it’s honestly hard to find fault with the place.

  We are absolutely thrilled with this accommodation! The apartment is cozy and spacious, the interior is beautiful, and everything is clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, and most importantly, there are tea, coffee, and various spices, so you don't have to go to the store to buy everything. There’s plenty of storage space there. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is clean. We were also happy with our communication with the host. And the view of Tbilisi from the balcony is simply heartwarming, especially at the night.

  Very clean, modern and cozy apartment. Beautiful view from the window, convenient location. Takes about 8 minutes by taxi to get to the town center. Very lovely and helpful owners. We had a lovely Eater surprise waiting for us on the table upon our arrival, special thank you for that!
