I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. You know how some buildings look a bit dated from the outside? Well, this place completely flips that assumption once you step through those doors. The lobby actually took my breath away with this soaring atrium and these massive floor-to-ceiling windows that flood everything with natural light. It’s one of those moments where you think “okay, this is going to be good.”

What really struck me about staying here was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between luxury and actually being livable. The rooms are spacious – and I mean properly spacious, not that cramped European hotel room thing where you’re shuffling sideways between the bed and wall. The beds are seriously comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly, the shower pressure was better than what I have at home. You’ll find yourself in Tbilisi‘s heart here, which means you can walk to most of the main attractions without dealing with taxis or trying to figure out the metro system. The Old Town is basically right there, and you can smell the khachapuri from the street-side bakeries drifting up if you open your windows – though you might not want to since the AC works perfectly.

The staff deserve a mention too – they’re not just going through the motions like at some chain hotels. When I had trouble with my phone’s international plan, the concierge actually walked me through connecting to their WiFi and helped me figure out a local SIM card situation. Small thing, but it mattered. The restaurant on-site is surprisingly good (hotel restaurants can be hit or miss, let’s be real), and their Georgian wine selection is extensive without being pretentious about it. I ended up having dinner there more nights than I planned because, well, why mess with a good thing? The only minor complaint I’d have is that the elevators can be a bit slow during peak times – nothing terrible, just something to factor in if you’re always running late like I am. But honestly, with an 8.6 rating and five stars, this place delivers on what it promises. It’s the kind of hotel where you actually look forward to coming back to your room at the end of the day instead of just tolerating it as a place to crash.

  Decent facilities, very well maintained hotel. Great upside is availability of two swimming pools, including indoor and outdoor. Good hospitality of the personnel.

  **Booking**: I booked via Booking.com and had a smooth experience overall. Although there was an issue with my card not working, the hotel staff were proactive and called to confirm our arrival, ensuring that the room was kept for us. Appreciate that level of service!

  **Location**: Perfect. The hotel is centrally located with metro access nearby, and it's in the middle of the main street with easy access to restaurants, malls, and shops. Couldn’t have asked for a better location.
  
  **Room**: The room was spacious enough, but there were a few disappointments. The bed was advertised as a king, but it was actually two single mattresses pushed together, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, there were no toothbrushes provided, which I would expect from a 5-star hotel.
