I stayed on one of the higher floors, and honestly, the panorama of Tbilisi spread out below was incredible – you can see the old city’s red-tiled roofs mixing with Soviet-era buildings and all these new glass towers popping up everywhere. It’s like watching the city’s entire history unfold from your window. The rooms themselves are spacious (actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), and I loved that they didn’t go overboard with the minimalist thing – there’s enough personality in the design to make it feel welcoming. The beds are properly comfortable too, which matters more than people admit when you’re dealing with jet lag.

Here’s the thing about this hotel that I really appreciated – the location puts you right in the heart of modern Tbilisi without being stuck in tourist central. You’re close enough to walk to the old town when you want that authentic Georgian experience, but you’re also surrounded by great restaurants and cafes that locals actually use. I found this amazing wine bar just two blocks away that the concierge recommended (ask them about it – they know their stuff). The breakfast was solid too, with a good mix of international options and Georgian specialties, though I’ll be honest, the khachapuri they serve isn’t quite as good as what you’ll find at the little places down in the old quarter. But hey, you can’t have everything, and the coffee was excellent. One small thing that bugged me initially was the elevator wait times during peak hours – there’s clearly high occupancy here, which is actually a good sign, but just factor in an extra few minutes if you’re rushing to get somewhere. Overall though, this is the kind of place where you feel like you’re experiencing the real, evolving Tbilisi while still having all the comfort and service you want after a long day of exploring.

  Very beautiful and cute hotel. Kind and friendly staff, from the reception to the restaurant and bar. Sky Bar is simply excellent with delicious cocktails, snacks and rolls. In the room we were pleasantly surprised by the complement of wine and sweets.
