Pirosmani Boutique Aparthotel Overview
I arrived at the Pirosmani Boutique Aparthotel on a crisp August morning, the kind of day when the city feels both alive and strangely quiet. Tbilisi itself was buzzing along the boulevards, but the building at 33 Giorgi Chitaia Street in Chugureti kept its own rhythm—an old Soviet block with a surprisingly modern twist. The lobby was small but warm, the staff greeted me with a smile that felt more like a welcome to a long‑time friend than a corporate greeting. Check‑in was quick; you just hand over your passport, get the keycard, and the front desk clerk gives you a map of the neighborhood with a couple of notes in Georgian—something like “Yerevan Street is a good spot for brunch.” I mean, who knew a map could be that helpful?
The apartment itself is a tidy, 4‑star space that feels like a private retreat rather than a standard hotel room. The living area has an exposed brick wall (don’t let the dust bunnies fool you—they’re just a touch of character), a comfy sofa that actually supports your back, and a small kitchen—perfect for whipping up a quick sandwich or a cup of Georgian tea. The bed is a real find: a king‑size mattress with memory foam that actually remembers where you like to lie. The linens are crisp and the bathroom has a deep soaking tub that’s surprisingly large for a city apartment. I took a soak after a long day, and the view from the window—just a few meters away from a local market—was surprisingly peaceful. The noise from the street is minimal; you can hear the occasional chatter of vendors, but it never turns into the kind of ruckus you get on the main avenues.
Breakfast is where the place really shows its local flavor. There’s a small kitchenette in the lobby where a host—she’s a local, I swear—prepares a spread of fresh pastries, local cheeses, and a pot of strong black coffee. I tried the khachapuri and the honey cake, and honestly, they were the best I’ve had in the city. The host also gives you a list of her favorite spots: the café on Shota Rustaveli Street, the art gallery on Shaduri Avenue, and the best gelato right next to the metro station. Speaking of the metro, the station is a five‑minute walk from the hotel, and the lines are clean and usually not overcrowded even during the peak hours in July. Parking is a bit of a hunt; there’s a small lot behind the building, but you’re better off using the metro or a local taxi—especially if you’re trying to explore beyond the Chugureti district. The only downside I noticed was that the kitchen appliances in the apartment are a bit old, but that’s probably a trade‑ authentic vibe.
If you’re looking to explore the city, the hotel’s location is a sweet spot. You’re close to the Rustaveli Avenue, which is the main artery for shopping and nightlife, but the neighborhood itself feels like a quieter slice of the city. I spent a Saturday wandering to the nearby Mtatsminda Park—just a short walk up the hill—and the view of the city from the top was simply breathtaking. The area around Chugureti has a cool, almost bohemian vibe; there are a few hidden cafés and galleries that locals swear by. For a taste of local cuisine, head to the restaurant on Bagrationi Street; they serve khinkali and a wine that’s locally produced. The only critique I have is that the hotel’s Wi‑Fi can be a bit spotty during the evening rush, but it’s usually fine for browsing or working late.
All in all, the Pirosmani Boutique Aparthotel feels like a home base that’s a few steps away from everything that matters in Tbilisi. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the location gives you a genuine feel for the city’s rhythm. Especially if you’re traveling during the busy summer months, the quiet hours in the apartment are a perfect way to recharge after a day of sightseeing. So if you want a place that feels like you’ve stepped into a local’s life rather than a hotel check‑in, this is where you should stay.
To book a hotel in Tbilisi during major Georgian celebrations, travelers need early planning as this ancient Silk Road capital draws visitors eager to experience its sulfur baths and traditional hospitality.

The apart hotel is beautiful, Chugureti is a great hood to discover Tbilisi. The check in and check out are self managed and we did not meet anyone from the staff, but all went smoothly and we have already decided to come back here next time we'll be back.

The cleanness was great.
Wonderful – Полина from Russia – July 11, 2025 (9/10)
I really liked the design of the room. Everything is also new and clean.
What could be improved: The air conditioner was right opposite the bed so it was cold to sleep with it on (I tried different modes) and hot with it off.Great apartment – Paulína from Czech Republic – June 30, 2025 (10/10)
Outstanding apartment in Tbilisi I would say, colourfully and nicely designed, comfortable, clean and spacious, well equipped. Simple check in, located close to the Central bus station and easy to get to the centre by bus or minibus. We’ve wanted to rent a stay once again but unfortunately it was not available. Definitely recommended
