I stayed at Old Walls 1, a cozy 4‑star spot right in Tbilisi, Georgia, tucked between the cobblestones of Aleksandre Chikvaidze St. (the old Sultanishani str. you’ll spot from the metro exit on Rustaveli) and the buzzing cafés that line the nearby side streets. The building itself feels like a relic from the 1930s—stone walls, iron balconies, a little rust on the wrought‑iron gate that gives it that vintage charm. I mean, you can almost hear the distant clang of the old tram as it whistles past the corner of the Old Town, and just the smell of fresh kolbasi from the bakery down the block makes the whole area feel alive.

The rooms are spacious, with hardwood floors that creak slightly when you step in—sort of a comforting reminder that you’re in a place that’s been here for decades. The check‑in process was smooth; the front‑desk lady greeted me with a warm smile and even offered a local map with handwritten notes about the best spots to try the traditional khinkali. There’s a small, but well‑maintained, courtyard garden where I could sit on a wooden bench and watch the street performers; the scent of blooming geraniums mixed with the faint aroma of frying onions from the nearby market. Parking is a bit of a hassle—you’ll need to pay for the underground spot, and the rates can be steep, but the staff will get you a spot in no time. Noise-wise, the hotel’s a decent distance from the main highway, so you’ll only hear the occasional honk of a taxi or the soft lull of traffic from the side street—perfect for catching early‑morning sleep.

The breakfast spread is a hidden gem. It’s a small, family‑run kitchen that serves freshly baked bread, a selection of cheeses, and the most delicious honey‑sweetened yogurt you’ll find in the city—trust me, it’s a must‑try. The lounge area is stylish yet comfortable, with a few plush armchairs and a wall of books that locals love to peruse. The Wi‑Fi is fast, and the TV shows have a decent selection of Georgian movies, which is a cool way to catch up on local culture while you’re on a break. Honestly, the only real critique is that the bathroom fixtures feel slightly dated, but that’s a small price to pay for being so close to the Old Town’s historic heart. If you’re planning a trip during the summer, expect the streets to fill up early, and the hotel’s lobby will buzz with fellow travelers and locals alike. In winter, the area gets quiet—perfect for a peaceful stroll to Sameba Cathedral and back. All in all, Old Walls 1 feels like a home away from home, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m wandering the streets of Tbilisi.

  -Very central , it’s in walking distance to the main tourist attraction sites .
  – Apartment is equipped with everything you may need . It satisfied my expectations.
  – Even though it’s central the neighborhood is calm and quiet for a good rest at nights
  – Once you arrive you’re doing self check in so it is very good that you don’t have to wait for anybody.
  PS: there’s a black and white haired pregnant cat in front of the building please feed her if you can , she’ll let you pet her in return :))

  Extremely comfortable apartments on quiet side street a few steps away from all the sights. The apartment is furnished to a high standard, with thoughtful touches like bathrobes and electricity adapters. Very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, spotless bathroom. The hostess, Laura, is friendly and helpful and communicates well with guests. Excellent experience!

  For us, 3 things were perfect. The location, because the apartment provided easy access by foot to many parts of the city that were worth visiting. The internet connection, which is, of course, vital nowadays. The (free) parking opportunities around, although not always straightforward. We had very easy communication with the owner. The kitchenette was well equipped.

  What could be improved: The apartment is a bit small, but that's not big deal if you spend most of the time outside (or you can keep the bed lifted up). The neighbourhood is mostly not noisy, but when a car passes, you hear it. You need to keep the windows closed if you have light sleep like me.

  Понравилось очень все!! Сами апартаменты шикарны, чисто, аккуратно, все продумано До мелочей,начиная от ниток с иголок, до мыльных принадлежностей, полотенцев,утюг,гладильная доска. Все необходимое на кухни есть. Местоположение шикарное! Хозяйка добродушая! Сюда хочется вернутся!

  Мы с семьей были в Тбилиси три дня и очень пожалели, что не остались подольше 🙂 Апартаменты замечательные! Лаура встретила, все показала, посоветовала места, где можно вкусно поесть и сходить. Апартаменты прямо в самом центре города, до всего можно дойти пешком (достопримечательности, кафе, рестораны, обмен валюты – все рядом), но сам дом на тихой улице, поэтому толп туристов там не было – очень комфортно!
  Внутри все обставлено со вкусом, особенно эстетичная ванная комната. И все очень функционально: все ванные принадлежности (шампуни/гели для душа/щетки/зубная паста), все что нужно на кухне – посуда, столовые приборы, микроволновка, за кофеварку отдельное спасибо, наслаждались свежесваренным кофе каждое утро!
  Лаура всегда была на связи (вайфай в апартаментах тоже есть), так что было очень комфортно. Однозначно всем рекомендую ♥️
