Old City LG Apartments Overview
I pulled into Martkofi Street on a breezy early afternoon, the kind of day where the city feels like an open book and you can read the streets by the way they smell. The building was a modest four‑story block, but the lobby had this warm, almost nostalgic vibe that made you feel like you were stepping into a home rather than a hotel. The staff greeted me with a quick handshake and a friendly “good afternoon” – no long wait, no complicated key‑card system – just a simple card swipe and a welcome pamphlet that even the locals use. (I was already impressed by how easy the check‑in was; they even had a small fridge in the lobby so you could grab a cold drink while you freshen up.)
The apartment itself was a surprisingly cozy space – a single‑room layout with a sofa that folded into a bed, a tiny kitchenette, and a balcony that faced a quiet street. You could hear the distant hum of traffic and the occasional shout of a street vendor selling khinkali, but otherwise it was pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable, with that familiar Georgian cotton mattress that isn’t too firm, and the linens smelled faintly of lavender – something the housekeeping team apparently uses to keep the place smelling fresh. I was a bit surprised by the small but functional kitchen – it had a kettle, a mini‑fridge, a microwave and a couple of pots. I brewed a cup of black coffee in the morning and the aroma mingled with the faint scent of the old stone buildings outside. Parking was a breeze; there’s a small alley behind the building where you can park for free, but you have to watch the meter signs during rush hour. (I found the street parking almost a secret treasure, especially since most of the apartment blocks in the area have strict no‑parking rules.)
When I stepped outside the balcony, I realized how close I was to all the things that locals love – a few blocks away is the old bazaar where vendors sell fresh apricots and honey, and just across the street you can hear the murmur of people chatting over tea. The next day, I took a short walk to the Tbilisi Botanical Garden; it was a quiet green oasis right in the heart of the city. I also discovered that the nearest metro station is about a 10‑minute walk, so you can hop on and off without having to worry about a taxi. For nights when you want to unwind, there are a few local bars within a block – I tried a wine bar that serves Georgian red, and the staff recommended a local dish called “satsivi” that was delicious. Honestly, staying at Old City LG Apartments felt like living in a hidden gem – no flashy marketing, just real, practical comfort and a genuine taste of Tbilisi life. The only little gripe was that the Wi‑Fi was sometimes spotty during the day, but that’s a small price to pay for the authentic atmosphere and the convenience of having a quiet, clean space after a day of exploring. Overall, I’d say this place is a solid choice for anyone who wants to feel like a local rather than a tourist, and it definitely doesn’t feel like a generic boutique hotel. The experience was all about real, everyday Tbilisi, and that’s exactly what makes it memorable.
Tbilisi hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Georgia’s cultural capital, known for its legendary wine culture and unique architectural blend.

What could be improved: До метро не совсем близко, с учетом дороги в гору. Зато тихо по ночам)Exceptional – Elvira from Russia – April 8, 2025 (10/10)
Спасибо большое. Мне очень понравилось. Было очень чисто – это для меня самое главное. Чувствуется забота и уважение к гостям.
