The location puts you within walking distance of the old town’s winding streets, but you’re also close enough to the more contemporary parts of the city that you don’t feel boxed into just doing the historical sites. I could easily walk to the sulfur baths (though fair warning, the hill down to Abanotubani is steeper than it looks on the map), and getting to places like the Dry Bridge Market or even up to Narikala Fortress didn’t require any complicated planning.

The breakfast spread is decent – not extraordinary, but they include some Georgian touches alongside the standard international hotel fare, which I appreciated. Coffee’s better than average for a chain hotel, and they usually have fresh fruit that’s actually ripe. One small thing that bugged me: the elevators can be slow during busy checkout times, so if you’re in a rush to catch a morning flight, maybe give yourself extra time.
