They’re the type who remember your name after the first day and can tell you exactly which local spot serves the best coffee (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re jet-lagged).

The rooms themselves feel lived-in but in a good way – not like someone’s messy cousin’s place, more like a well-maintained space that actually gets used. I noticed they pay attention to the little things that most places skip over. The lighting is warm enough that you don’t feel like you’re in a hospital, the beds are actually comfortable (not just decent for a hotel), and there’s proper storage space so you’re not living out of a suitcase. One thing that caught my attention – the soundproofing is surprisingly good. I’m someone who usually hears every door slam and elevator ding, but here I actually slept through the night. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which honestly shouldn’t be remarkable in 2024 but you’d be amazed how many places still mess this up. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward standing around while they figure out their system, and they actually had useful recommendations that weren’t just the same tourist traps everyone suggests.   The location of Nika's Apartment cannot be beat. It hangs over a little canyon in the bath district. The sound of the river can lull you to sleep. The apartment is well-equipped. The hosts were kind and made a big effort to communicate with us, although English is not their first or second language.
