I just stayed at the Newly renovated house in Tbilisi, a charming spot that feels like a home away from home. The building itself had that sort of old‑world stone charm that instantly makes you feel relaxed—like you’re in a cozy village tucked into the city’s hills. The lobby is bright and airy, with a few potted plants that smell faintly of fresh basil from the balcony garden. Check‑in was surprisingly quick; the front desk was open 24 hours, and the staff were friendly, offering a complimentary map of Mtatsminda that even mentioned the best time to catch the funicular to Narikala. I mean, the way they keep track of the schedule shows they truly know the city. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt: the apartment block has a small, cobblestone courtyard that’s being used as an informal parking spot. If you’re a driver, you’ll have to be patient, but they’ll let you park between the trees in the courtyard, and it’s quiet enough that you won’t hear the traffic from the main road for a while.

The real fun of staying here is all the little things you discover when you wander out. Mikhai Zichi Street itself is a quiet streetscape—no honking, just the occasional sound of a bicycle whirring past. It’s close to the Mtatsminda Park, so during the day you can catch a stroll through the gardens and then hop on the funicular for a panoramic view of the city—if you’re into that sort of thing. The hotel’s balcony is a secret gem: there’s a small table, a couple of chairs, and a view of the church spires on the other side of the hill. I took a cup of strong Georgian coffee—black, just like the locals drink it—and watched the sun go over the city skyline. The smell of fresh bread from a nearby bakery (the one by the church that sells those amazing “khachapuri”) drifted in from the street, making the whole experience feel like a true Tbilisi morning. If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the easy access to the local markets that open early; the vendors there sell fresh vegetables, herbs, and the most fragrant spices.

Honestly, the only thing that could use a little tweak is the noise level after midnight. The building’s walls are good, but you can still hear the distant hum of traffic on the main road—though it’s not terribly disruptive. The best times to visit are during the shoulder seasons—late spring or early autumn—when the streets are less crowded, and the heat is manageable. In summer, the funicular can get packed, so you’ll have to plan your trip early. The people who run the house are super attentive: they always ask if you need anything, and they’re very conscious about keeping the space clean. The rooms themselves are spacious, with a mix of modern and traditional decor, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable—so you’re not left with that “just another hotel” feeling. All in all, this place makes you feel like you’re living in a quiet part of Tbilisi, where the city’s pulse is just a minute away and you can always retreat to a small, welcoming home.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Tbilisi at least two months ahead for major events like wine festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near cultural attractions.

  Отличное расположение: недалеко от центра, можно и до старого города дойти пешком и по новому погулять. Все что необходимо в пешей доступности: магазины, рынок, кафе ( правда рекомендую не в сильно туристические места идти, т.к. в наиболее туристических зачастую невкусно). Также можно припарковаться рядом с домом, если есть машина. Апартаменты оснащены всем необходимым и, что немаловажно, тихо по ночам на улице. Хозяева очень отзывчивые, старались помочь с любым вопросом. Также очень понравилось, что при общей небольшой площади апартаментов, есть отдельные комнаты и общий зал, что очень удобно для путешествия семьей

  Отличное расположение. Добродушные хозяева. Чистое белое белье и полотенца, особо приятно! В квартире есть все необходимое.. Уютно! Рекомендую! Останавливались семьей. В следующую поездку вернемся туда же.

  Удобное расположение, есть парковка. Домик уютный, чистый. Есть все необходимое. Хозяин очень дружелюбный, и порошок для стирки дал и вкусным вином домашним угостил. Вечером посидели во дворике посмотрели на звезды. Обязательно вернемся и однозначно рекомендую

  Отличное месторасположение-все достопримечательности обошли пешком. Очень чистые апартаменты и что нам было еще важно так это наличие кондиционера который охлаждал помещение мгновенно👍 Мы остались довольны. Спасибо хозяевам. Рекомендуем.
